*chris's POV*
It was halloween after noon and I wasn't feeling so cheery. I had finally gotten over Austin and Samantha and the fact that ricky was gay wasn't bothering me either but I kind of already figured that out."Come on, mopey pants." Ghost urged me off the couch where I lay in my pajamas and no make up on what so ever. Ghost was, of course, wearing his Cruella Deville costume to the supreme.
"No." I groaned.
"Halloween is your favorite holiday, if you don't get up I will drag you down the stairs, and trust me, it won't be pleasant." His argument was a pretty good one.
"I hate you." I growled, pulling myself up off the couch and onto my sore feet. "But I'm not actually going trick or treating, if that's what you were thinking."
"We're going to a party, genius, and I happen to know a girl that is interested in you." He smirked, my ears perking up slightly, but I didn't want to go anywhere or meet any more people. I wanted Samantha, end of story.
We slipped out into the night, ricky as jack skellington, Ryan as a zombie, ghost as Cruella Deville, and josh as a vampire. I was just myself, a tall, pale , goth kid, which I guess could be scary at times to people, which ill never understand. Apparently, the party wasnt too far away and if we got drunk tonight we wouldn't be able to drive, so no need for a car. "It's cold" I shivered.
"You whine so much, just shut up and have a good time, we're here anyways." Josh said in a harsh yet sarcastic way, so I didn't take it to heart. There we stood, five big idiots infront of a door to who knows who's house.
Ghost just walked in, we followed him apprehensively and scanned our surroundings cautiously. Ghost was known for his stupid little pranks and we didn't want to be part of another one. But this one seemed to be a legit party. A pretty, young girl dressed in a black lacy corset and cat ears greeted me.
"I'm Samantha." Her voice thick and sweet like honey but her words stinging like venom.
"Chris," I introduced myself quickly before leaving. "Woah sorry." I stuttered as I stumbled into ghost who was already drinking and partying, talking to a wide array of people.
"Chris!" He smiles and laughed wholeheartedly. "Meet Janice." He pointed me to a tall, skinny and shy girl who folded her arms into a thick sweatshirt that was wrapped around her body. She smiled and waved awkwardly but didn't talk. She must be like super shy.
"Hi." I put my hand out to shake hers, which she took reluctantly. No doubt about it, she was cute, and she was way different from Samantha which was refreshing for once. Her hair long and thin, dyed purple and blue. Janice's eyes were a deep shade of blue that intrigued me and was lined with thick black eyeliner and a thin shading of purple eyeshadow to match her hair. Her sweatshirt was two sized to big which was a contrast to her skin tight jeans. "Nice to meet you." I could have sworn she blushed but who could tell in this lighting. I really need a drink.
I snatched up a bottle of who knows what kind of beer and nearly finished it immediately. Okay, maybe I was tipsy already, because all I could remember was wobbling back to Janice who was still standing awkwardly, swaying slightly to the music as her friends urged her to dance and have a good time. I guess she wasn't a party person, but then again, just a couple of minutes ago, neither was I. My bottle of beer was half empty, when I stumbled back to her. "Wanna dance?" I caught her attention.
"Uh.." She answered trying to sort out her answer in her head. "I can't dance." She looked up shyly, pulling down the sleeves of her sweatshirt and fixing her already perfect hair. Her friends giggled to her side and whispered to one another.
