"So, you're transferring from Grensville high?" Principal Nesu asks. His office is pure white, the same color as his fur. I silently wonder where and how he got the scar that goes over his eye.
I nod. "My brother attends classes here, so I decided I should stick with him. After all, we are twins."
"Quite true. You two are twins, yet you have different quirks, is that true?" Nesu leans forward in his chair, listening intently.
"That is true. It should all be in my file." I gesture to my file, which rests on Nesu's desk. "My quirk is a version of our Aunt's, however not exactly."
"May I ask what that is?"
"I think you'll find that out, soon enough, " I reply, smiling. "In fact, very soon, I suppose. If I remember right, I'm in the hero course, and that means I'll be tested today.'
"Very true, " Nesu says. "I suppose I should send you on your way." He leans toward the phone on his desk and dials a number. "All Might, come to my office. You have a new student."
Once All Might enters the room I'm sent on my way, following him to the next class.
"So, you're Eijiro's twin?" All Might asks, startling me. It was one thing to be in the same presence as him, but to have him speak to me? It was uncanny.
I shook my head violently. "Sorry, yes. My name is (Y/N)."
"If you're anything like your brother, you will be a very promising student. I can't wait to see what you can do." All Might replied, looking back at me.
"Thank you, sir, " I reply. "I'm looking forward to learning as much from you as I can."
He smiles at me and knocks on the door to class 1-A. He slowly pushes the door open and walks in with me on his tail.
"Aizawa, this is (Y/N), please welcome her into your class. I have other matters to attend to." All Might says as everyone's eyes turn to him. Aizawa pauses at the chalkboard and sighs, dropping his chalk.
"Let me guess-" he starts but is cut off when Eijiro shouts.
"(Y/N)! You're here!" He jumps out of his seat and runs up to me, wrapping his large arms around me. His familiar smell drifts to my nose as I bury my head in his shoulder. "I haven't seen you in two months!"
"Hello, brother." I smile. A collection of gasps is heard, but as I look forward, the only person not gasping is a blonde kid. He just sits in his seat, smirking. This must be the kid Eijiro was telling me when he called me. Katsuki Bakugou, my brother's best friend.
"Eijiro, I know you're excited, but (Y/N) needs to introduce herself to the rest of her class," Aizawa says. "And what better way to do that than another quirk test?"
Everyone groans, except me. I know I haven't gotten to know Aizawa enough to tell what the test will entail, but I think it will be fun.
"To the training yard, " Aizawa says. We get dressed in our assigned exercise suits and meet in the training yard.
"Today we're testing the limits of your quirks and different ways to apply them," Aizawa says. He demonstrates by shooting his scarf at a dummy robot and knocks it out. "You will have to find new ways to knock out these robots without using your standard tricks. Think outside the box."
I haven't used my quirk in a while, but I'm almost sure no matter what I do, I can easily take the robots down. My quirk doesn't necessarily have a name. Mainly because it only manifested a year ago, and I'm fifteen. Basically, I can harness the gasses around me and add them together or change their physical makeup to turn it into whatever, let it be water, fire, or anything. Although my quirk can be used for a great deal of good, there is also an evil side to it. I could turn the air around us poisonous or even overwhelm my opponent with the lack of oxygen. My aunt was evil and hadn't used her quirk to do good, which is what I plan to do. I want to become a hero and show that my quirk isn't all evil.
However, oxygen isn't going to help me in this case because robots don't breathe. So all I can do is mix the oxygen with hydrogen and create water, or use the oxygen to create fire. Either that or I could just use the air to pick up the robot and drop it onto the ground.
I've noticed that all my classmates have already started practicing while I've been standing on the side. I make quick work of converting the molecules into fire to shoot at the robot. As soon as the first robot falls, another springs up. This one I shoot a bunch of water at and shoot it across the room. It slides across the room, heading straight toward Bakugou. He stares at it in bewilderment before aiming a blast at the center of it.
"Can't get rid of me that easily, (Y/N), " Bakugou says with a smirk.
I glare at him and start walking toward him as Aizawa calls over the lot of us. "Time's up for the day, students."
I groan but follow the rest of my new classmates back to the classroom.
A small brunette girl approaches me and introduces hersel. "Hi, I'm Ochako Uraraka. I saw your quirk in action, and I have to ask, do you have more than one quirk? Why do you have a different quirk from Eijiro?"
"Calm down, Uraraka, " a green-haired boy says, ruffling Uraraka's hair. "You're gonna scare her. Hi, I'm Midoriya, but my friends call me Deku."
"Hi. To answer your questions, Uraraka, I only have one quirk, just like you guys. Eijiro and I have different quirks because I inherited my Aunt's quirk, " I reply with a smile.
"I remember seeing your aunt a while ago on tv. She fought All Might, didn't she?" Deku asks, tapping his chin thoughtfully. "Yeah, she proved to be quite the match for him. But your quirk isn't exactly like hers, right?"
"Yeah, " I reply sheepishly. "I didn't know that many people knew my aunt."
"Geez, Midoriya, make her uncomfortable, why don't you?" a boy with purple hair says. "I'm Mineta, and you must be an angel."
I laugh as I remember Eijiro mentioning something about Mineta to me on our calls. He's a major perv and isn't afraid to let the girls know.
"You're funny. You got that going for you, but I know better, " I reply. "I already know about you, Mineta."
"You nasty perv, that's my sister!" Eijiro says to Mineta, smacking him with a folder. The folder ends up sticking to Mineta's hair so he just leaves it there.
"Hey, we should all head to the pool since we don't have any more classes today, " Iida suggests. I've met Iida before because our parents used to be friends.
"That sounds fun, " I reply with a smile. "Plus, I could use the workout."
The guys stare at me as if I just made a joke.
"What?"
"Nothing!" They all reply as both Eijiro and I stare at them.
"Well then, I guess it's time to get going! We only have four hours until the pool closes!" I jump up and down and make my way out of the room, Uraraka, Momo, and Tsu following close behind. Since I don't have a school swimsuit yet, I have to borrow one of the extra ones hanging up in the pool. However, it's super tight and I'm nervous about it.
"There's no need for you to be nervous! You've got an amazing body!" Uraraka smiles. "Er, I mean...yeah."
I laugh. "I know what you mean, Uraraka."
I worked hard for my body, but I'm still nervous. I don't know if the guys will find me disgusting or not. Not that I care...
I sigh. "Let's go, girls!"
We all giggle and make our way out to the pool. All the guys are waiting and turn to us as we enter. Mineta's disappointment toward us not wearing bikinis is apparent. However, when his eyes glance over me he smirks.
I choose to ignore him as I dive into the pool and do a few laps. When I make it to the other side, the girls are waiting.
"Volleyball?" Momo asks, gesturing to the net on the other side of the pool.
I smile. "Sure."
