First Few Steps In

I take a large deep breath looking at the school a few steps ahead of me. It was my first day at a brand new school, Whitechapel Highschool. Even if this seems beyond cliche I feel exactly like they describe in those movies you always see. The chills and the bad thoughts racing in my head, my body twitching in both excitement and fear, and of course the constant clumsiness and thoughts of messing up. Deep down I knew this wouldn't be revolutionary, I would still be the same huge nerd no matter where I move off to. But finally, I slowly piece myself back together and take a few steps in.

I look around and see the surrounding area. Already fumbling around looking for a locker. I start to take it in start to try and find someone really anyone to introduce myself to.

I find this blonde girl tall-ish, beautiful, and looking beyond fierce. Already I can see that there's no chance I'm going to introduce myself to her. Not because she isn't probably cool,  just because she's most likely out of my league even just friendship-wise. Her fierce look and her intimidating eyes made a large enough impression for me to know I should probably stay away from her. Even though, as I said before, I don't like to judge a book by its cover, yet I can tell her attitude reeks popularity. I'll know to stay away, and keep my distance to avoid eventual humiliation but, that will come naturally from my interests. Soon, the blonde girl passes by me chuckling at her phone probably because of a text from someone or a random funny meme.

Then my attention was drawn from three boys walking in a group. One was obviously not as close as the two brunette males were to each other. The two brunette males were deep in some conversation I couldn't quite decipher, while the blonde male gleefully followed behind them. The blonde was obviously nerdy and naïve compared to the other two, his joyful step touch with every move he made showed a lot. He seemed to want to talk to the other boys a lot so he would have his own side conversation practically with himself while the other two boys were having a totally different discussion.

"...and then I was like-" This blonde boy said then stopping in his tracks. He began to whisper something to the taller brunette, as he made his way to me. I had this sense of fear as maybe I had misread the males and his actions, maybe he was a total jerk. "Hey there, you're looking fine today~" he said with a little wink trying to be sly but practically tripping over his feet to talk just get closer to me.

I was relieved to hear the males intentions were not purposely ill in will. I exhale letting my fear subside in it as I slowly begin to respond

"Oh, th-" I stuttered out trying to get out a response too busy to notice I was letting out a little bit of pink on my cheeks. Before I could even get out a full sentence, or fell out my emotions one of the other boys pulled him away from me.

"Rory, dude, that's not gonna work-" The taller brunette said whispering to the blonde male, seemingly named Rory, in a rude like manor. "I am so sorry about him-" The tall brunette says to me taking my attention away from Rory and to him. His smile warmed as he spoke o me trying to cover up his possible extra anger and embarrassment from the blonde male.

"Rory, you gotta find a different method other than giving one-liners and walking away" The other boy lectured,  struggling to hold the blonde back while the other male spoke to me. Which was odd because Rory looked super scrawny. Almost as scrawny as the male holding him back. I shrug it off and start to form another sentence then getting cut off yet again.

"Benny! Ethan! Why you gotta be so doubtful-" Rory says shaking away the other brunette's grasp. Now knowing the name of the other boys. Rory then started headed back to me, probably trying to continue to flirt with me after he just got manhandled back by his friends.  "Hmm now where was I princess~" Rory said happily getting closer leaning on the wall next to me. Thankfully, instead of touching me, Rory just held out his hand looking for a hand shake of some sorts. I then shook it looking into his eyes with a smile. "I haven't seen you around, the names Rory, Rory Keaner!" Rory said with a clumsy smile. My beginning assumptions becoming correct as the dorky male shook my hand in a wobbly manor.
