Can I get a walker thingy?" I asked as I almost immediately tripped after stepping on the floor in my skates. "You'll be fine" my sister replied before speeding away showing off on purpose with every boy watching her.
My Names Betty Cooper and, unlike my perfect sister who is good at everything and anything, I obviously cant skate. But, Polly wanted to come and Polly gets what she wants, so here I am, in the only skating rink in town, embarrassing myself.
I Start to skate a little very slowly and I think I'm getting the hang of it, until the lights go out at 9:00. "Ahhh" I squeak as I trip and fall twisting my ankle watching Polly fly by me laughing though I'm obviously in pain. I'm in tears staring at the floor when I hear a deep husky voice "are you ok?". I look up to see a handsome boy with black hair and a leather jacket with his hand out to me. "Not really" I say wincing in pain as he grabs my hand and lifts me up.
"Thank you" I say gratefully, as he brings me over to a bench and checks my ankle. "No problem" he replies "I'm Jughead, Jughead Jones" "Betty Cooper, are you new in Riverdale? I think I would've noticed you" I said with immediate regret blushing Intensely. "Why is that" he asks with a huge smirk on his face before I tell him it's just because Riverdale isn't too big of a town Which was a total lie by the way. "uh huh, ok, I've actually lived here my whole, just grew up on the south side is all. The two schools are linking this year so im trying to find a place to hang, I don't mind it here, especially if theres more pretty girls Luke you." he explains with a sly smile. My face flushes red immediately before I thank him.
He asks me if I want some help skating and I happily accept his offer wanting to have a chance against my sister. He quickly grabs my hand and drags me in to the floor. "Don't let go" he says as he pushes off the top of his skate. "Trust me I won't" I say before he zips me away at full speed.
