Pucker Up
I happily sat down in my room with my Halloween candy, sorting it out like I always did the morning after a good haul of candy from trick-or-treating every year. This year, there was an increase of my favourite lemon-flavoured candy, the super lemon. Immediately, I opened the wrapper and popped one in my mouth, immediately making a face at the extreme yet pleasant sourness of the little hard round candy.
"What are you doing?" asked Yuzuru, my most beloved figure skater boyfriend as he entered, arriving just in time for our date.
I didn't reply, just smiling at him as I dropped down on my bed and continued to focus my concentration of the sour candy. The sourness had already started to dissipate slowly and slow concentrations of sweetness began to fill my mouth.
"Don't ignore me!" Yuzuru whined cutely as he joined me on my bed.
I gave a inner sigh combined with a squeal. My adorably clingy boyfriend has appeared!
'So cute.' I thought giddily as the candy completely lost its sour flavouring. 'Should I tease him a little more?'
"(F/N)-chan!" he said as he wrapped an arm around me. "Give me some of your candy if you are going to ignore me like this."
I stuck my tongue out, my tongue almost complaining of the sweetness, and Yuzuru immediately snatched the candy off my tongue. I could feel myself going red.
"Yuzuru!!!" I squeaked out as he gave me a victorious face, similar to the one he would make after he won a gold medal in his figure skating tournaments.
"If you don't give me candy, I'll play a prank on you." Yuzuru smiled, winking playfully as he nudged me with his body, squishing us together.
"And don't ignore me." he chided, giving me that cute puppy dog face before lighting up. "This candy is pretty good for a lemon flavour."
"It's my favourite." I told him, leaning into his body that was warmed after his morning practice shower.
He tasted the candy thoughtfully, while absentmindedly bringing me closer to him.
"Can I have another?" he asked, turning to face me. "Trick or treat!"
I got up from his embrace to get him a piece of the candy and secretly readied my camera from my phone.
"Yuzuru! Say ahh!" I said as I removed the wrapper for him.
Embarrassed, he does what I asked. I placed the candy on his tongue and immediately started taking pictures.
He made the sourest-looking pucker face. It was absolutely adorable how a small tear built up in the corner of his eye due to the sourness. I squealed inside as I put my phone away, watching the reaction.
"So sour! (F/N)-chan! Did you give me the wrong one?" Yuzuru complained as he pinched my cheeks.
“I chose to give you both a trick and a treat!” I winked playfully at him and he replied with his beautiful smile.
Yuzuru stood up and dramatically kneeled, gesturing to me.
“My dear princess, I have come to take you away and sail the seven seas with you.” he said in a royal-like manner, holding out his hand for mine.
“Yuzuru, you might have been a pirate yesterday, but you weren’t a prince.” I smiled teasingly at him as I placed my hand in his, the sizes of our hands contrasting as they touched.
“I’ll be your prince forever, even if I was dressed up as a pirate, even if I’m not a figure skater. I’ll be your prince as Yuzuru.” Yuzuru spoke as he looked into my eyes, ending his declaration with a kiss on my hand, his eyes never leaving mine.
My cheeks warmed at his sweet promise, blinking back tears of happiness and nodded. I couldn’t say a thing. No words came to me that would give his declaration justice.
“Will you stay with me?” he prodded. “In sickness and in health as long as we both live?”
“Yes.” I whispered as our gazes locked onto each other, leaning into each other so we were face to face.
When our lips met, it was magical. My mind went blank, my thoughts muddled as our passion for each other took over. My heartbeat sped up and I basically melted into his strong embrace. I let go of my one last thought as I fell completely to the love and charisma of one Hanyu Yuzuru.
