"See." Eben grinned when he saw me smiling at all the comments on my Instagram, "You're gonna be fine." I looked up at him and grinned wider.
"Gah, you're the best Eben," I said, pulling him in for a hug.
"Hey, guys." We heard Jonah's voice a few steps behind us as we pulled apart.
"Are we interrupting something?" Corbyn asked, a slight edge to his voice.
"Chill." Eben laughed.
"We were having a deep conversation, got a little emotional." I smiled, kissing Corbyn on the cheek.
"About what?" Daniel asked.
"The ocean." Eben lied. I gave him a grateful smile.
"Is that a pun?" Zach grinned. We all raised an eyebrow at him, confused. "You know, a deep conversation. The ocean. The ocean is deep." He moved his hands around as he explained.
"Unintentional." I raised my eyebrows.
"Just so you know, Jack's having his birthday at the beach house in a few days." Maddy grinned while Jack went slightly red. My jaw dropped.
"You didn't tell me your birthday was in a few days." I whacked Jack lightly in the arm.
"Never really came up in conversation." He shrugged with a half-smile.
"Anyways, should we hit the water?" Jonah smiled, taking off his shirt. Maddy was practically drooling next to him.
"Sure." I smiled as I picked my paddleboard back up. We all went into the water and Eben and I floated on the small waves on our paddleboards.
Corbyn suddenly pushed Eben off and clambered on his paddleboard, laughing.
"Hey! I rented that with my own money!" Eben protested when he emerged with a splash.
