A/n: warning! This might be a little sad for some viewers.
---------------
It was warm. The sun was just rising, filling the Hogwarts grounds with golden light. The great hall was filled with people, some alive, some dead. Harry awoke. He hoped with all his heart that last night's events had all been a dream. Yet when he rolled over, and saw Hermione's bushy dark hair spread out on the dusty ground next to him. Harry knew it could not possibly have been a dream. He had defeated Voldemort the previous night. Yet he had lost so many important people to him, that it had almost not been worth it.

Harry got up, and walked around. Hermione and Ron were lying side by side. Hermione's dark brown skin shone beautifully in the sunlight. Ron's flaming red hair glistened, and his freckles were outlined on his pale skin. The crowd of Weasleys were no longer at Fred's side. They had been replaced by his childhood friends. George and Lee were lying on either side of him, both looked as if they were dead as well. No, they looked worse. Lee had practically fallen asleep on top of Fred. His face was dirty, and was streaked with dried up tears. George was worse. His face had even more tears, and he somehow looked older than he had before. Like he had lived through a thousand years of misery. Angelina was lying behind George. She had been crying as well. Alicia was lying behind Lee, her pale face dirty and worn. Harry wished he could cry, but there were no more tears left.

As he went on, he once again saw the dead bodies of Remus and Tonks. Remus looked younger in death. His dirty blond hair was short and curly. His scars seemed more faded. Tonks also seemed younger. Her hair had returned to it's natural shade of dark brown, and she truly looked like a young woman. She didn't look that much older than Harry.

Harry then saw Parvati Patil lying next to Lavender, who's wounds had been covered by a cloth. Lavender lay lifeless on a cot, and Harry suddenly realized that she wasn't just that little gossip who spent the whole of sixth year snogging Ron. She had given her innocent life to Harry's cause. Parvati looked as if she had gone to sleep crying, and Harry suddenly saw that Padma Patil was on a cot next to Lavender. Parvati had lost both her twin sister, and her best friend who was also the love of her life. Harry could hardly imagine what that would feel like.

Close to Padma were Dean and Seamus, who appeared to have gone to sleep holding hands. Harry hadn't known they were more than friends, but he wasn't surprised.

Harry then came upon the Weasleys. Arthur and Molly were lying in eachother's arms. Percy was close to them, and his face was dirty from crying. Bill and Fleur lay close to eachother. At the end was Ginny, who was lying with Luna. They were cuddled up together. Harry knew that he should have felt jealous. But he didn't. He in fact, felt happy. Maybe Ginny wasn't the right one for him. He had known that Ginny was bisexual just as she had known that she was, and they had broken up at the end of sixth year. Harry had no reason to be jealous. He walked on.

Harry passed people he had known and trusted, and saw their bodies lying peaceful, yet lifeless. Their family and friends and lovers surrounding them. Harry even recognized Daphne Greengrass, a Slytherin, lying next to Michael Corner's dead body. He suddenly felt happy. A Slytherin had come back to fight. Harry needed to escape. He finally got to the broken down doors of the hall. He walked out.

There was a slight breeze. The lake could be seen rippling silently in the distance. Harry could make out a human figure. The figure was walking fastly until they noticed Harry. Harry could now make out who it was. It was Malfoy.

He looked paler than ever. But there was a sadness about him. He started to walk closer again. As he got closer Harry noticed something about him he had never noticed before. His eyes. His eyes were some of the most beautiful eyes harry had ever seen. They were light grey, and deep, like the sky on a cloudy day. Harry could get lost in his eyes forever.

Wait! This was Malfoy. Harry was staring at Malfoy's eyes. Harry snapped out of it. He couldn't have Malfoy knowing he thought his eyes were nice. Malfoy was only a few feet from him. Malfoy stopped walking. They were standing just foot and a half apart. Harry wanted to say something terrible, something rude, but no words came to his mouth. Malfoy was the first to speak.

"You saved my life." His voice was pained. Had Malfoy been crying?

    "Oh. Right."

"I was an idiot. I know that now."

    "Yes. You were an idiot."

"I'm sorry." He paused. There was guilt in his face. Why was he guilty? Why would Malfoy care about what he had done?

"What changed?" Harry found himself saying.

    "You saved my life."

Harry suddenly wanted to kiss Draco. Draco? Is that who he is now? And why would Harry want to kiss him? They were enemies!

"Thank you." Draco said. Now Harry really wanted to kiss him.

    "Where are your parents?"

"I am currently unaware, but we got far away before I told them I wanted to go back."

"Why did you go with them?"

"Cause I'm a bloody coward. I was such an idiot. I came over to their side in the first place because I thought you were dead. I couldn't stand being on the losing side. But then you got up, and I didn't do anything. I could have come back over but I was such a coward." Draco paused, and looked down. He took a moment before he looked up again. When, he spoke he seemed on the verge of tears. "When he said you were dead I felt this pain. I was so pained because I have feelings for you. I didn't even realize it until-"

Before Harry knew what he was doing, he was kissing Draco. He hadn't had any idea how much he needed that kiss until now. He kissed him passionately. It was the most passionate kiss Harry had ever had.

They broke apart, panting. It was a moment before one of them broke the awkward silence. "I don't really know what to say." Draco said. "Me neither." Harry replied. Draco smiled. "I wasn't expecting you to do that. I thought you would be disgusted by me."

    "Why?"

"Honestly Potter, that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard you say." Harry chuckled. "You are aware my name is Harry?"

    "Right. Harry."

Harry smiled. He loved the way draco said his name. "I could get used to that, Draco." Draco smiled as well. Harry kissed him again. "Should we go inside?" Harry asked. "Perhaps." Draco replied.

    "What will they think?"

    "Who cares what they think."
