Dylan grew up in a place called the slums, a dirty crime-ridden area in the city that pro heroes tend to neglect because taking action in a place like that just causes more problems. Her parents described in as few words as possible were assholes. They were asswholes to everyone except her. Dylan's parents were drug lords, they were known as the "2 of spades" one of the biggest names in the slums, and they had screwed over their fair share of scary men with guns to get there. They had countless bounties over their heads, thire enemies counting down  each breath they took like seconds on a clock. Even though they had accumulated a small fortune, enough to get out of the slums, they stayed. They stayed cuz they liked the thrill of the chase, they loved the taste of danger. But one day the unexpected happened, they were blessed with a little demon of their own. Dylan. Dylan's father was overjoyed and couldn't wait to teach her the ways of the slums, he was happy to pass down the 2 of spades. If that's not what Dylan wanted, that would be okay, he was just happy to be a dad. Her mother, on the other hand, wasn't doing to well. She didn't want this life for her child. She and her husband fought day in and day out about whether to stay or to go. But Dylan's mother was cracking under the pressure, little did anybody know she had found a solution, a cure that would make all the pain go away... forever. An unsuspecting Dylan walked into her small smelly apartment, looking for her mother. When she walked into the master bedroom she stopped, dead in her tracks. there was her mama kneeling on the dirty carpet, daddy's gun in her mouth, tears dancing down her cheeks leaving salty paths in their wake. Her mother turned to face her, a smile ghosted her chapped lips as they let out a muffled "l love you."

BANG

A week later Dylan's father ushered her into the broken down beat up pick up truck. He said they were going on a trip. A little while later he pulled up to a corner store. He craned his neck to look at Dylan and handed her a $20. "go in and get ya something to snack on" he said. His bloodshot eyes seemed to be begging her not to go. She went into the store and got a bag of popcorn. But once she came out, her dad's car was nowhere to be found.
