Until My Last Breath

First Encounter

"Kuya." I called my brother as I walked down through the stairs.

"What?" He snapped. Yep. He's always like that, mainitin ang ulo, has a very bad temper, masungit and snob and yep again he is my brother. He's Gabriel Aldus Samaniego, 2 years older than me.

"Argh. Why are you so masungit? Ang aga-aga kuya ang init ng ulo mo. Meron kaba ngayon?" I teased at him but then binatukan at sinamaan lang niya ko ng tingin so I just laugh at him. We're like this, parang lambingan na naming magkapatid ang magpikonan sa isa't-isa.

"By the way sis, did you buy school supplies already? Classes are starting the day after tomorrow, right?" He asked me while walking right beside me towards the dining area. Wala ang parents namin because of business matters. There away for a week for a convention they are in in London.

"Argh. I am so not excited kuya. I don't feel transferring at that school but mom is so persistent, I am not even sure if I can survive being there. How I wish Sam will transfer with me" pagsagot ko sa tanong ni kuya while starting to put some foods on my plate.

"Oh. You didn't know? Samantha's also transferring there" he replied. Nanlaki ang mata ko sa sinabi ni kuya. That woman, ang hilig talaga mag sekreto. Amph.

"Oh my gooooosh. Why didn't she tell me? I felt so betrayed" I said as I acted like I am really hurt but damn im so freaking happy to know that my best friend is also transferring at Psyche Academy. Anyways, I'll call her later and ask her to go shopping with me. Binabawi ko na ang sinabi ko kanina na im not excited cause hell now I am.

Pagkatapos ko kumain ay umakyat agad ako sa kwarto, grab my Iphone in my study table and hurriedly dial Sam's number. After 3 rings she pick it up.

"Hello?" Sabi niya sa kabilang linya.

"Hi bff. Good morning. Just woke up eh? Hahaha anyways, galaw galaw ka there okay? I'll fetch you up later cause we will go shopping. May kasalanan ka pa sakin so no buts. So? See you later aligator." I ended the call without waiting for her answer and jump out of bed. Pumasok ako sa banyo and I did my daily routine. After an hour I am ready to gala.

Bumaba ako then found my brother in the living room reading some books with earphones on. I walked towards him and get one earphones out from his ears and bid my goodbye, he just nodded and continue what he is doing. I rolled my eyes and walked to the garage.

"Hello my baby." I smiled seeing my precious car. Pumasok nako and I started the engine and drive towards Samantha's house.

Before I forgot. I am Anastasia Gabriela Samaniego and yes and bantot ng pangalan ko. I don't know if my topak ba si mommy nung pinangalanan niya ko eh. Im 17 years old and a Grade 12 student sa pasukan. Anyways, pagdating ko sa bahay nila Sam ay nasa labas na siya at bored na bored na nakatayo sa labas ng kanilang bahay. I waved and kissed her on her cheek, she just rolled my eyes at me but then kiss my cheek afterwards. I laugh and pushed her toward the passenger seat. And then off we go.

After a decade inside the car finally we reach our destination. I pulled Sam over and we started walking side by side inside the mall. Pumasok kami sa National Book Store since school supplies naman talaga ang sadya namin dito.

"Besh, which one is nicer? This one or that one?" I asked my oh so bored best friend with me. Tinuro niya yung isang mas simple ang design and has a one butterfly in the side. So i picked it up and put it inside the basket im holding. Yep. Ako nagdadala kasi kung maarte ako, mas maarte 'tong bruha nato.

"Gab, what's with your attire ba? It's so out of fashion. When will you learn to dress properly ba kasi?" Paglalait niya sa soot ko. I wear my simple V neck black t shirt partnered by my faded jeans and a sneakers. While she is wearing a short skirt partnered my a crop top na halos bra na kung tingnan sa kanya.

"Uy. Walang basagan ng trip Sam. I like wearing this kasi. Im comfortable wearing this kind of things so back off you, bitch." I replied as I rolled my eyes on her. Ngumiwi lang siya and look at me from head to toe then tumalikod and started picking things. I roamed my eyes inside the store and my eyes really did twinkle when I see the book that I am searching for a long time now.

Tumakbo ako patungo sa shelve kung saan ko nakita ang libro and I grab it excitedly but before I could get a hold of the book properly I twisted my ankle and Im gonna fall off the floor for sure.

But to my surprise hindi ko na feel na nasa sahig ako, I slowly open my eyes at dahil sa sobrang gulat ko nagpumiglas ako sa hawak niya but i think it is a wrong move dahil nawalan siya ng balance then we feel of the floor. Nakaibabaw siya sakin. Halos hindi ako kumurap dahil sa nangyari. Ang lapit namin sa isa't isa. Alam ko na isang galaw ko lang ay magdadampi ang aming mga labi so i did not move. I am staring at him intently, shit ang gwapo niya. He has this perfect pointed nose, makapal na kilay, brown expressive eyes, a musculi—

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. SPG." Someone shouted.

Hindi ko natuloy ang pagtitig sa kanya dahil sa gulat ko sa sumigaw at that point of time gusto kong pagbabarilin and taong yun sapagkat dahil sakanya nagulat ako then because of my adrenaline rush i tried to move up but wrong move. My eyes grew wider and my mouth hang open. He smirk at me then he got up, pinulot niya ang book na dahilan ng lahat ng to and started walking away with the book I love in his right hand. I still cannot process everything that happen, im still on the floor and tried to process the happenings earlier then after realizing it I unconciously touch my lips. Damn. It really happen.

I felt his lips touch mine.
