"It has to be one of those days, isn't it?" I asked myself as I moved through the hallway, the end of the hallway has a light that brightened my way and the hallway was getting narrower. The walls were dirty and papers and old newspaper cover the floor as the wall started to move towards me. I made a run for it, but never made it, causing me to wake up at the gate of the airport waiting for my airplane to arrive. I checked my watch and it was noon or so to say 12 pm. "Just in time."
I looked around me to see faces that I'll never see again. No one was with me that I knew of. "Faces, I see, but hearts I'll never know." I cross my arms. 'As a young man around my late twenties, I did not live a welcomed life so to speak.' I close my eyes as I lay on the chair waiting to be called. A mental image of myself being that airplane and crashing down on me is frighting. Yet, it is just my fear of getting the best out of me. 'I can't allow fear to take me down.' I told myself in my head.
Little things bother me in this world, but I never complain about it. It's just awful to complain knowing that I could end anytime given. So, it's best to be wise and grow up fast before its too late. I heard peoples' conversation about some attack that happened hours before I even got to the airport, I bet that happened around 7 am.
So to say, a man attacked another man out of range, but the strange part, the man was still wanting to attack others while they hold him down and it took about 5 people. He bit 2 people in total.
A woman that saw it go down spoke. "Yeah, it's strange that he just came in here and attacked the worker. The worker did not know him. I bet there's going to be a lawsuit. I wonder how much he is going to sue him for."
Another girl laughed and says. "I bet for 3thousand. The other 2 guys are going to sue as well."
A male joined the conversation says, "No, one of them is not going to sue, that's what he told the worker. Strangely, it had to happen on the day on my honeymoon."
"That's so sweet...." The poor woman could not finish her sentence the speaker says.
"All passages the airplane has arrived, it's time to get in line, please follow our rules that you all have a safe trip." Her voice sounded soft and calming. I opened my eyes as I grab my blue suitcase that was next to my leg, stand up as I took out my ticket from my pocket, I was the first person to enter since my best friend, bought my ticket online at a very good price. "First class."
I shook the ticket as I looked up to see the row of lines. I went to my first class line. I was the last in the line of three people in front of me. There was a beautiful woman in front of me that has long black hair. She wears a yellow dress and holds onto her green suitcase. I asked her. "Only three people in front of me, what happened to the rest?"
She looks to see me and smiles, she has lovely green eyes. "Yeah, they probably cancel because of the nice weather, don't you say? Anyway, I'm Lily and yours?" She put her hand out.
I shook her hand. "Nice to meet you, I'm Mark." Lily pulled her hand away. "Same, so. You traveling for vacation?"
"Ah, no. For work. I travel for meetings to do projects. It's my job to go and do them."
"Oh. That sounds interesting. I bet your family is proud of you, you know traveling all around the world." Lily says with a smile. I looked away and looked down onto the floor.
"They would have been. I hope one day, I get to see them. It's not easy being the only child. Anyway, enough about me. What brings you here?"
"Oh, sorry to bother you. I'm just visiting a sick family member. She needs my help since she was admitted to the hospital and soon to get out by the end of today."
I looked at her. "Oh, I hope she recovers soon and gets well." I smiled a little.
"Thank you so much, I needed that."
"The gates are open so we ask the first class to enter first and the second, third, and last the fourth. Okay, first-class come up to check off your ticket."
After the Lily in front of me, I went to give my ticket to the lady when she looks at me. "Don't worry sir, you are in good hands. I have something for you." She took out a handbag full of food. "Here, this is a gift." The man next to her says. "What are you doing?"
"My last will."
I look at her. "I'm not going..."
"Please, it's my last day here anyway. Get going."
I gratefully took the gift. "Thank you." I walked away from her when I heard screaming and yelling. "Sir, please go inside." I hurry and went inside when she closed the door behind me. I try to open the door, but it was locked. She smiled and says. "Go lock yourself in." She runs away.
"Wait!" I raise my voice. I looked through the window and saw people getting eaten and not only that blood on the floor. People went up to me and beg me to open the door for them when they were dragged away. Different people went up against the door banging and have blood on their faces. Their eyes were green like something took over. The speaker went off and said, "Don't panic and look for an exit. Do not run, please remain calm. Thank you." It was a robotic voice.
I backed up as I looked at the door being shaken when one of the women went up to me. "What's wrong?" She looks and sees them. "Oh gosh..." She backs up. "What's wrong with them?"
I grab her arm and run towards the airplane and once inside. "Lock the door," I said. The man and the woman look at me.
"What?" The man says.
I looked at the woman that works for the airport. She wears the blue uniform and white low heels. She has blonde hair tied up. The man was young and big. He has short black hair. "Those things are not Human anymore. Hurry, lock the door."
"What you mean? Not human?" The man questioned me.
"He is telling the truth, those people have blood and they are trying to get in here." The woman explains in a panic.
"I'll check it out." He was about to walk past me when I grab his arm. "If you open that door. I am forced to lock this door."
"You aren't allowed to do that," we looked at each other eyes. I looked away. "Fine." I let go of his arm. He walks away going to the door that was just up ahead. I looked at him going up to the door, I told that woman. "Get ready to lock the door just in case they enter."
"Not without Gus."
"If he makes it," I said.
"We are not locking this door without Gus."
I saw him go up against the door as his face turns to horror. He turns around and runs towards us as the door started to come out of the wall. "Hurry!" I yelled. They opened the door, forcing us to close the door. He made it just in time as we started to close the door. They were at least thousands blocking the door. I could see about the line going to lead up to the door of the gate.
"What are those?" The woman said out loud.
They were yelling, but it did not sound human or no animal. They bang on the door, causing us to be frightened by them. The other two passengers, went up to us. "What is that..." They saw the people with blood on their month and their eyes. They were banging on the door and roaring.
"Why are they acting like that?" The man said.
"Everyone get to your seats. I'll speak to the pilot." The woman said. Gus looks at us. "Yeah, get back and take a seat. We will talk about this to the pilot."
We listened. They went to the pilot. I took a seat near the door just in case if I have to block the door. I put my suitcase away and the bag of food that they lady gave me, next to me. One of the pilots walked past us not talking to us and went to check the door. I heard him. "What the heck. Why are those people..."
