The First Encounter.

"So there he is, high above us. Like the sun in the afternoon sky. We hear it, his Shadowshot. There's like 10 arrows that hit the floor. Me and the two others are cornered but we started to see those arrows exploding." He stops to fix his chest piece. "The knights are staggering and can't focus, the thrall popping like balloons and the wizard covering her eyes from the blasts. Then it started raining, light dropping at our feet so bright we could see the corridor exit in the distance." He fixes himself on his seat pulling up his pants. "Before you knew it, we were drawing our guns to take aim at the knights and wizard. As quickly as we got our sights set, Von hits the floor with his blade out. One swipe and the wizard bursts." He moves around to get comfortable in the clunky armor. "The knights, they didn't know what hit them. Even the big boi in the back. Right as he was about to rain down his heavy hive sword, Von had his blade in the knights throat. In a split second as the sword hit the floor Von was already in the distance heading to the exit. The Knight, yeah his head was clean off!"

The three new recruits are wide eyed after the story. "So that's our clan leader?" One of them asks.

The Titan telling the story replies. "He doesn't like being called a leader, we are all family. We are all worth the same. We are all equals."

Senshi, one of The Achlyophage top Titans comes around the corner furious, half naked running straight for the storyteller. "Von! Get the fuck out of my armor!"

"Oh shit." Von stands up quickly, he starts running and undressing in the other direction with Senshi right on his tail. Another Titan in full white armor comes around the corner. She has a strong presence but a soft voice. "So I see you guys already met Von." The new recruits are speechless. "Don't worry you'll get used to him. Just don't believe every story he tells, especially the one about him riding his sparrow on top of a fallen ketch over the EDZ... Wait, now that I say it out loud it sounds like something he would do."

A female hunter with colors of black and bright rose enters from behind the Titan. "Hey Ittyi, the Vanguard put in a request something about helping their own on a recon mission."

Ittyi turns to face the hunter. "Umm, recon for what. Oh and hi K! I didn't get to say it this morning."

"Oh no problem, hi! It's about the recent hive activity in the Dreadnought. They need the team that mapped it out." Says K.

Ittyi let's out a long sigh. The new recruits look at her as she speaks. "You see, that team that did that isn't here anymore. Like three of us left."

Von comes from the hallway that he ran to. "What's this about the Dreadnought?"

One of the recruits speaks up. "Hey, how did you get into your armor so fast?"

"Oh I'm always prepared. You have to always be ready to go, no matter where you are." Von replies.

Ittyi turns to Von. "The Vanguard need a recon team, the ones who mapped out the Dreadnought.-"

K interrupts. "Yeah they are sending their own team to meet up with who ever takes the mission. They'll be heading to the Dreadnought tonight."

"Gotcha, I'll take it." Von motions to Ittyi. "You coming?"

"I can't, I have a follow up mission from Shaxx."

"Alrighty then, I'll head out right now, tell them to meet me on Titan, Xanadu region near Menrva. It's pretty close by to us and the Dreadnought." Von pats his chest and his hips. "Wait, I forgot my guns."

K chuckles. "Always prepared?"

Ittyi turns to K. "Yup!"

Von looks at them both. "Shhh!"
