Fridas POV:

I sat on the beach with Julia and the guys. It was really nice. The guys were really nice and it was nice to avoid dad for a while.

I sat in the sand o looked around. Dana and Cole were playing around and chased each other out to the water. I watched them for a while. I have to admit that Cole was very cute. Will and David sat and ate some distance away while they were discussing about something. And I sat with Julia and Gabe. The set close to each other while they cuddled with each other. They were so cute together. They have been together for a while now. For almost a year I think. Julia always write about him in every letter she sent.

"So what happened to you since last time?" asked Julia and looked at me.

"Nothing special." I said short and tore my gaze from Cole and Dana who played in the water and looked at Julia and Gabe.

"Nothing ?! Are you sure ?! 'Cause I may know that you got a warning from school." Julia laughed.

"Okay! It was not my fault! It's just our principal, who has bad sense of humor!" I laughed and tried to protect myself. Julia laughed too.

"And Dad? How is he?" Julia asked quietly after a moment.

I really didn't want to talk about dad right now. Not when I just got here. I wasn't a fan of dad. Julia thinks I should talk more with him because he, after all, is our father. Maybe I should think so too. But I can't. So.. talking about dad used to not end well.

"I don't know.. Good i guess.." i said and looked down at the water again to not meet her gaze.

"Has not anything changed?" she asked, trying to reach my eye, but I continued to watch the water.

"Nope, he's's still the drunken piss rat he's been every year." I said.

"Oh! Come on Frida !! He's your dad! You have to give him a chance." she said as I watched Dana and Cole come up to us to dry out.

"I have given him tons of chances." I said quietly.

"I know Frida. But hasn't he done any good?" asked Julia.

"Well .. He was in rehab for two months .." I said.

"And ..?" asked Julia.

"And it was not a difference when he came home again." I said.

There was silence for a moment. It was pretty dark outside and it was getting chilly.

"I'll probably go home now." I said and got up. I said goodbye to everyone and walked away. And when I had come up from the beach, I heard someone come up behind me.

"Hey!" I heard someone say. I turned around and stopped and saw Cole.

"Hi." I said and kept going when he came up.

"You lived quite far from here, right?" he asked.

"Hmmm .. Not really. I can handle it ." I said and smiled.

"I can drive you if you want. It's not fair that you should have to go that far in the dark." he said and smiled at me.

"Okay." I said quite short and followed him to his car. We sat in the car and drove to the hotel.

"Why did you come so early?" Cole asked after a moment of silence.

"It was a pretty tough conversation." I said pretty quiet. But he heard.

"Oh, I'm also familiar with them." he said kindly.

"It's just .. our dad. We are not quite agree on what to think about him." I sighed. Cole had his eyes on the road but still listened.

"I love Julia, but in this front is all just wrong. And i'm not angry at her. I'm just confused." I said.

Julias POV:

We had come home from the beach and I was pretty tired, so I lay on the bed and thought for a while. Then the door opened into the room and Gabe came in.

"Hey babe, you've been in here since we got home. What is it?" he asked, a little worried, and sat down beside me on the bed.

"It's nothing. I'm just tired." I lied.

"Julia, I know you by now. I'm looking at you that something is wrong. What is it?" he said. I sighed as I realized that it was hopeless to argue with him.

"I should not have brought up the subject of my father down there on the beach. I should have known that it would not end well. And now she's kind mad at me .. She even left earlier." I said.

"She left because it was dark and she had to go home. Before Cole offered to drive her." said Gabe.

"I know my sister. I know it was something more." I said.

"Hey, don't you worry about it. You're going to work it out." he said and smiled. I smiled back at him.

"The most beautiful girl shouldn't have to be sad." he said. It made me melt. I sat up and kissed him, and he answered the kiss. The kiss quickly became a make out session.

Fridas POV:

We sat in the car and began to approach the hotel when we saw that the rest of the road was closed.

"I guess we'll take a detour." said Cole.

"No Cole. It's okay. I can go from here." I said quickly. He stopped the car.

"Are you sure? It's pretty dark." he said.

"Yes I'm sure." I said.

"Okay, but take this." he said and took out a piece of paper and a pen and wrote something on it. Then he gave it to me.

"My number. If something would happening along the way." he said and smiled. I smiled back at him and opened the door. It came in a cold wind, and I shivered.

"Is it cold?" Cole laughed.

"Yes, quite. But I can handle it." I said.

"You can borrow this." he said and took off his white beanie and put it on my head. It was a little big so it went down over my eyes. We just laughed while I tweaked it so that I could wear it.

"I know this may sound weird 'cause that we just met, but I am a good listener. So if you want to talk, you can come to me." he said and smiled.

"Thank you," I said. I really appreciated it. I said goodbye to him and closed the door and put down the note in my pocket. Then I went to my hotel.
