Chapter - 21 : His Past

Vineet and Ruhana were sitting on the couch. Vineet decided to tell everything to Ruhana, because he can tolerate everything but nor her anger. He has hurt her and he knew she will not talk to him untill he tells her what's bugging her. Vineet was much young when he lost his father in an accident. His father had a business and his mother had to assemble it again. His mother had no experience about the business but on his grandmother's persuasion, she stepped into business. That time, Vineet was six years old and Angel was one year old.

The life came back on track as his mother took the business to new heights. His grandmother took care of him and his sister. A turning point came when a stranger walked into their life. He was a business associate who wished to collaborate with their business. His name was Rishabh Sinha. Vineet's mother, Puja, became good friends with him. He often visited home and got presents for Vineet and Angel. Even Vineet got friendly with him.

The days were passing when one day, due to ill health his grandmother expired. Now, Rishabh visited home every now and then. Since Puja was young, it was natural that she fell for this guy, who was helping her a lot. Now there were times, Rishabh would spend nights at their home. It seemed like Puja was losing her control. Now it was Vineet, who cared for his little sister. He was told that the guy was his father now.

It was another night when Rishabh was at home. Putting Angel to sleep, Puja went inside the guest room. Vineet was reading a book that Rishabh got for him. He sat beside Angel who was fast asleep. He doesn't remember when he fell asleep beside his sister, but he woke up to some loud noises. He peeps out of the room and finds his uncle, that is Rishabh, shouting on his mom. The lady was crying and pleading, but he wasn't listening. He even slapped her. Rishabh shouted and left the house while Puja sat on the floor,crying bitterly.

Vineet runs to his mother and puts his hands across her neck and asks her the matter. Puja doesn't have any words instead, she pulls him in a hug. He asks her about Rishabh, at which Puja scolds him and tells him that he will not be arriving there anymore. She takes him inside the room and makes him sleep.

The next morning came, but only to swipe the floor beneath their feet. Puja was horrified that Rishabh had taken over her business and she was left bankrupt. He entered in her life, won her heart, loved her, made love to her  and then left her when his desired job was done. Puja had to leave her house along with her children. Vineet had adorned a negative impact of this incident. All he could understand was that his mother's friend left her alone. He hated him because his mother cried in front of that guy and also after that. And this was the reason that he was against Angel and Sachin's relationship.

Since the guy who ditched his mother was a good friend,like his own father. The situation was repeating itself and he could not understand the differences between the situations.

Vineet glanced at Ruhana, she looked horrified. He had certainly faced a big hardship. Even  she'd do the same if she was at his place.

"ab tum hi batao Ruhana. Maine kya galat kiya? Jo dekha tha, nahi chahta tha wo meri behen ke sath ho." he said, his voice deep.

Ruhana sighed…

"Lekin tum usey alag tareeke se handle kar sakte they na Vineet. Itna hyper hone ki kya zarurat thi?" she asked.

Vineet downed his gaze… "I know. I was wrong. Lekin bas yahi wajah thi. Main hamesha Angel ko khush hi dekhna chahta hoon. Aur main jaanta hoon wo sachin ke sath khush rahegi." he said.

Ruhana looks at him.

"I won't say a word to her." Vineet said, that made her smile.

"thanks Vineet. For telling me the truth. I know this is bad lekin zaruri toh nahi ki jo ek baar hui wo dobara hogi. Ya wahi hoga jo pehle hua, ye zaruri toh nahi hai na." she said.

"han par i promise ab se aisa nahi hoga. I'll make sure not to hurt anyone. Specially you. Please ab maaf kardo." he apologised again.

She looks at him again and said something that left him surprised,while Sachin and Angel who had came back from the market giggled at her words.
