Chapter 2

Stella POV

"Amazing, how did we come so far in the blink of an eye?" Uncle Dis asked.

"A teleport?"

"Yes Shin made this spell himself." Grandpa answers.

"A spell like that could change the world's supply chain, communication, even the way people think." Tom says.

"As if it wasn't amazing enough that they mastered the magic Merlin and I thought them." Granny says.

"I'm enjoying the walk and all but is there a reason you brought us out here?" Michel asked.

"Yes to insure our safety I thought it best that we do this in a place without much around." Grandpa says.

"Safety?" Granny asks making grandpa laugh.

"I've already seen this myself I'd advice all of you to brace yourselves." Grandpa says before looking at Shin.

"Shin you go first, show them an attack spell treat this as one of your tests, you go next Stella." Grandpa says as I nodded.

"Yeah sure, how about a fire spell?" Shin asked before getting to it and I step beside grandpa creating a shield. Shin created his blue flames and did his attack spell creating a giant hole.

"That's all I have right now." Shin says as we both turned to look at the others.

"Uh, are you guys ok?" Shin asked.

"It's my turn!" I say excited walking towards Shin as he walks where I was.

"I'll use wind." I say as grandpa nodded. Alright create wind, more, more there now start compressing it into my hand and now throw it. I throw the plasma ball just for it to explode like Shin did, but mine did more of a light show rather than electricity and heat like Shin's.

"What's wrong with you Merlin?!" Granny started yelling as she shook grandpa back and forth angrily.

"Please calm down granny! It's not good for your heart to get this worked up!" Shin says trying to calm her but she only turned to yell at us more.

"And who's fault is it that I'm this worked up?!"

"That's quite enough, your noble status is of no value at this academy. Should you attempt to leverage it here you will be punish, that's not a school rule is a royal decree." This caused me and my brother to look at the person who just saved this guy who was about to get his butt kicked by my brother if he tried anything again. He had dark blond hair with bright blue eyes, he actually looked like a prince.

"Right I know but this commoner." The guy I think name was Kurt said.

"If you knew of this law and ignored it you've defied the royal family itself." That was someone else, I look next to the prince looking boy to see another one, he had light blond hair with brilliant blue eyes that seem a bit sharper than the first one and was a bit taller than the one next to him. I feel my heart beating faster at the sight of him.

"Tensions are high all around, stop bothering people and prepare for the test." He continued before his eyes land on me, he's really handsome with his messy hair and cat like blue eyes. Suddenly the other one laughed.

"I like how you turned his introduction around on him." The first blond says causing me to snap out of it and look at him.

"Hm, you two seem to be as unworldly as I heard, my name's August, August Von Earlshide to be more precise but all my friends call me Aug." I blinked wait a minute did he just say Earlshide?

"So you're last name is Earlshide? Wait a sec you mean you're uncle Dis's son?!" I cover my ear and glance at my brother with a glare for yelling.

"Uncle Dis's son huh? That's something I've never been called before, when people realize that I'm the prince they usually start to ingratiate themselves in a hurry." August says.

"I don't care that you're a prince but if you're uncle Dis son then in a way, that makes us cousins." Shin says making Aug laugh.

"Know what, you're right. Let's call ourselves cousins." He says placing a hand on Shin's shoulder.

"I'm kinda confused, but I'm glad something about that made you happy." Shin says with a small smile as my eyes keep glancing at the unnamed blond that came with Aug.

"Oh yeah, this is my twin Alexander but you can call him Alex." Aug answered as the other blond nodded.

"It's a pleasure to meet the two of you. Let's watch each other's back's in there." Alex says in a silky smooth voice making me melt.

"I-It's nice to meet you too." I curse myself for stuttering as he gives me a sweet smile.

"You too." He says making my cheeks go red.. there's no way I can call him my cousin.

The hell are they doing?! They're chanting?! And what the hell are those ridiculous poses?! I understand now.. what they were saying about us being above people our age.

"Is there something wrong? Because if there isn't it's your turn." The instructor said as I look at him a bit depressed.

"I'm fine." I mumble.

"Good, his majesty told me about you so I ask that you please keep your magic under control and use just enough to destroy the target." He says as I blink but stepped forward. Well I don't really know how much it would take to destroy it but I'll guess. I make a small plasma and throw it towards the target but flinch when an explosion happened.

"I asked that you keep your power under control!" Yelled the instructor.

"Uh, believe it or not I held back quite a bit.." I say nervous, honestly that's the least magic I could muster at the moment.

"That wasn't your full power? Huh, well in that case, that was a fine showing." I sigh in relieve at least he's not mad.

Well we pass.. but now we have to give a speech all because Aug wanted to get back at us somehow. At least we got permission to modify our uniforms and that's what I'm doing right now. I want this to be the best gear I've made yet plus me and Shin made a contest out of this.

So first I'll need to nullify the current enchantments. I use my pen eraser and nullify the current spell. This new enchantment needs to be concise and there's only room for 20 characters. I want to make this almost like a barrier or armor, auto healing is a must too, what if I make it shock absorbant? Nah, I mean I could do it but it would be better if the damage was reflected to the attacker instead, maybe absorb it and send it back instantaneously with double force? I would also like anti-fouling. That's it.

I start writing the new enchantment this uniform will absorb any attack sent at it both magic or physical and that absorbed energy could then be used to attack as well, it will also heal when need be and it will be long lasting without it being dirty or getting old, it will always be new. I smile at my new creation. Given it would need at least some magic to activate and it won't be able to protect the parts that aren't covered by the uniform but it's still my best work ever.

"I have done it!" I jump at the sudden scream before hearing granny yell at him for yelling in the middle of the night.
