"I want you."I felt fear creep up into the back of my mind the longer I replayed his words in my head. The only thing coming to mind is why?
Why does he want me?
The longer he stared at me the more uneasy I felt. Usually I am okay with strangers, Im not as anxious or shy as I used to be, but something about this man makes it difficult to stay confident.
I don't like it at all.
Suddenly he grabbed my arm harshly, pulling me to my feet. He was still angry, I could tell by the way his eyebrows were furrowed and he wore a slight frown on his lips.
Without saying a word he opened the door we came out of and dragged me back inside.
I let out a breathe when the door closed behind me. I was relieved to be surrounded by other people again.
My eyes immediately scanned the room for Madeline.
Once I saw her still dancing with the man from earlier, I realized Styles and I had only been outside for a little while.
After a few seconds he removes his harsh grip and I immediately make my way towards Mads.
As I approach her I take out my phone and check the time.
1:03am? Holy shit the time went by fast.
When I reach Mads she notices right away and stops dancing. "Hey girl. Are you okay?" She asks, worry lacing her voice. I realize I probably look scared and exhausted at the same time. Not a good look.
"Yeah I'm okay. I ran in to Styles again.." I say, purposely leaving out the part about him punching the man I was dancing with before forcing me to go outside.
She grins and speaks up again, "Oh really?" I nod my head slowly, not in the mood to elaborate.
"It's getting late, is it okay if we go?" I ask, wanting more than anything to leave this place and lay in my bed.
"Of course! Let me tell Damien." Mads responds.
She turns back towards the man, whispering something in his ear. I shift uncomfortably while I wait, feeling eyes on me. I shake it off deciding not to look for the culprit since its late and I just want to get the hell out of here.
She turns back to me once their interaction is done and gives me a smile. I return it lightly and hook our arms.
As we walk out the front door the music starts to fade a little and I finally relax. What a night.
Fortune doesn't favor me, though, because soon enough we're stopped by Danny jogging up to us with a frown. "You guys leaving already?" He says more towards me than Mads.
Thankfully Mads answers for both of us, "Yeah its late. I'll come back soon though, I know you miss me" She laughs and nudges his side, making him laugh slightly at her sarcasm.
He turns his attention to me, "What about you, Amelia? Will you be back?"
Before I can respond Mads cuts in, "Oh shit! Wait here." I watch her walk back towards the entrance quickly where Damien now stands. They smile at each other as I watch her pull out her phone and hand it to him, exchanging numbers.
To my dismay, Danny speaks up again once we're alone. "Amelia.." He trails off taking a step towards me.
I feel the nervous tension starting in my stomach, he's always made me feel slightly uncomfortable. "You look really different from the last time I saw you." He eyes me up and down before taking another step closer.
