Camp MapleWood

The Candies..

Trixie Conner wakes up drowsy and depressed as usual. She walks downstairs in her hoodie and jeans. She grabs her phone and sits at the table.

Trixie's mom walks in" Trixie dear,your not spending the whole summer upstairs in your room,your going to go to a Camp for half of the summer".
Trixie rolled her eyes"why?!"she yelled when her mom took her phone. Her mom sighed"because-"her mom paused"I just think you need to be outside with friends....it will be fun now go get ready" her mom smiled.

Trixie shrugged and went upstairs. She glanced through her dead brother's room. She looked over,there was a open jar of candies packaged in different colored wrappers.

"Huh?"

"My brother kept a jar of candies?"

She remembered how her brother would buy candy and put one in each day until the day he dies. Her brother died from a car accident with his girlfriend.... he was driving and they crashed into a semi.

"Awww honey do you have to go to that party tonight?, after all it's family get together"

" No mom..." he remarked

Trixie thought of the brutal accident and teared up. Why did he have to go? He was the only person she was close to. She remembered how they'll always hang out they were like best friends more than brother and sister.

"Slow down Steve!!!"Clair yelled as they were about to ram right into the semi.

"I can't!" Steve tried to move out of the way,but it was too late.

"Ahhhhhhh!!!"

SMASH!!They were both hit.

Clair was badly injured,and Steve was dead. Ms. Thompson was petrified, she sat by her some the whole time he was dead.

Trixie looked at the candies and tears in her eyes and looked in the mirror. She grabbed a few candies and slowly put them in her pocket what am I doing?...

"Honey are you packed and ready?"her mom yelled up the stairs.

"Shi- coming mom!"

She hurry's and packs up,and runs down the stairs.
