Betrayal never looked so beautiful. Love makes you blind as you're tricked into closing your eyes. I always had a picturesque fairytale that I thought was mine. It helped me mold my world into my paradise. Then her tsunami hits, tearing me down into the horror I've become.

Uncle Vince was waiting impatiently at the conference table with folded hands and timing the seconds to get back home to his dinner. The conference room door swings open, waking him from his thoughts. Cassandra makes her grand entrance with her plan set in motion. Beyond my uncle's eyes, he sees an innocent angel.
"Cassandra, what did you call me for at this time of night?" Uncle Vince says, straightening his jacket.
Cassandra sits in the chair next to him, saddened as tears roll out her eyes. "Uncle Vince, I need your help."
"What's the matter?"
"Logan is out of control. Your nephew is losing it, and I can't take it anymore," Cassandra cries out. "I don't know what to do."
Uncle Vince reaches for the box of tissues, and Cassandra takes a few as the tissue box slides her way. "Talk to me, Cassandra."
"He's being controlling, mentally abusive, and he even hits me." Cassandra shows him the bruises on her arms, gaining more sympathy. "Uncle Vince, I'm scared of what he is becoming, and I feel he will try to kill me."
"I'll talk to him and get— "
"NO!" she shouted in fear for her life. Worrying Uncle Vince more. "If he finds out I came to you, he will make living in that house with him even worse." Cassandra takes a deep breath and wipes away the tears once more. "I have to get access to our money." She looks up at him. "I need to get away until he comes to his senses and figures out if he wants this marriage."
"Cassandra, I don't-"
"Please, Uncle Vince. You're the only one in this family that knows who Logan truly is." Cassandra starts crying more as she reaches for his hand, pleading. Sadly, he knew he couldn't let her go through the pain again—her suffering under oath: Til Death Do You Part of her and Logan's marriage.
Uncle Vince takes marriage seriously because of the loss of his wife. Cassandra knew it would pull a heartstring with him, as the bad memories of losing her to cancer started flooding in. His wife was his queen and the only love of his life. He wanted all the men in their family to treat the women that way because you'll never know the loss until it's gone.
Logan's father didn't have to listen because he put his wife on a pedestal. The two brothers ran the family business well but didn't always agree on things. Logan's father disagreed with Logan and Cassandra's marriage.
