Naira
"Kairav, baby, what are you thinking?" I asked Kairav while he was sitting in my lap. We were sitting on the rock while the waves were crashing against the shore. I am lost in the pure deep majestic blue ocean. The waves of water were washing and healing my wounds and I was holding Kairav closely and his back was to my front. The wind was blowing lightly and I could smell the salty air.
I wished Kartik to be here with us. We all would be enjoying our moment in our heaven.
I don't even remember when Kairav got up from my lap. I searched for the flood of my happiness and could not see him anywhere. Soon I saw his remote control car with a card attached to it. I picked out the car and it read 'Follow Me'. I foolishly smiled at the card and soon started to follow the car. My son knows how to make a normal day special. I felt small hands wrap around my leg and I set the small body on my hip.
"Happy sand art day." My cheeky little boy told me and I giggle at his words.
"No such day exists, Kairav," I spoke while pinching his cheeks and he returned the gesture.
"No, it does." Kairav started to struggle and I put him down. I crouch down to his level and ruffled his hair.
"Yes, how yesterday was Happy Burnt Pancake Day." I pushed a strand of my hair behind the ear and Kairav eagerly nodded his head. I started to walk towards our house.
"Ohh, and the day before yesterday was Happy car pushing day," I recalled and told him.
"Yes, good girl. My mamma knows the right day." Kairav placed a sloppy kiss on my cheek and I carry him to our house.
"Everyday should be special, right mamma." Kairav pointed a finger to me and I agreed with my son and we burst out laughing. I love my son to the moon and back. He eases all my worries and gives me the hope to live one more day and enjoy it to the fullest.
"No tears, mamma," Kairav spoke while rubbing his thumb on my cheek and I realized that a lonely tear fell out of my eye.
"These are tears of joy, buddhu (idiot)," I spoke and started to tickle him.
Kartik
I was packing my clothes and I was ready to go to Goa. My personal assistant bought me the folder which contained information about my family. I sat on my bed... sorry, our bed since Naira and Kairav will be here soon. Kairav will have his own room and my wife will be there to warm my bed.
I opened the folder with a giddy feeling. I saw the birth certificate of a boy named Kairav Goenka.
Goenka.
Naira let him have my name and I have been not there for them for the whole five years. I turn the page and for the first time, see my son's picture. My son's eyes instantly caught my attention and I notice that he has Naira's eyes and my nose. He uses specks which are round and I am sure it is my wife who got such glasses. She loves Harry Potter and I am quite jealous of him. She got a little Harry Potter of her own. My eyes were beginning to tear up as and at the same time, my mind was escalating with various emotions. I was happy, sad and mad. I hate this feeling of helplessness.
I found that Naira has close relations with Shivesh Birla and Xavier De Luca which is not good. She is my wife and I trust her but I don't trust those morons. I have no idea what they think about my wife and my wife is naive enough to think that everyone wants to be her friend which is not the case. Everyone knows about my wife's beauty but she is oblivion when it comes to herself.
