"Hey, squirrel boy! Aren't you going to give me a hug? It's been almost 2 years since I've seen you!"

My best friend, Han Jisung, came over and gave me a hug. We've been friends ever since we were 10 years old and we became close because we both lived in Malaysia and I liked hanging out with him because I was homesick. Unlike him, my family didn't come with me and they sent me money to live on my own as I studied.

"So how is college going in Malaysia?"

"I mean, it's alright. It would be better if I could see my friends more, but I won't complain."

"You're studying to become a surgeon, right?"

"Ah, you remembered!"

"Well of course! It's not like I understood what you were saying half the time when you were talking about parts of the body, so of course I remember."

I couldn't help but laugh because I definitely did get carried away when it came to my passion. Maybe the reason we clicked so well is because we're both super talkative. I decided to visit home while I was on holiday before I go back to Malaysia for one more year of college, and then I would transfer to Korea for a more advanced level of education.

My boyfriend, Na Jaemin, was really eager for me to transfer to Korea because he always misses me. I spent all day with him yesterday. He even picked me up from the airport despite how risky it was! His excuse was that if he had to wait for me any longer he would go crazy.

Jaemin is a real sweet heart. We were childhood sweethearts and before I left for Malaysia he confessed to me. My parents didn't care as they thought that it wouldn't last that long since it was long distance and we were only 10 years old, but here we are still together at 20 years old.

He's always been very supportive of me and he lifted me up during the hardest times. I don't think I could have gotten this far without him. Today though, I wanted to hang out with my best friend because I wanted to ask him some personal questions. So we went to a park to talk, and we even played on the playground like a bunch of kids.

"So what is it that you wanted to talk about?"

"Well...you remember my boyfriend, right?"

"Of course, you've been dating for 10 years now right?"

"Yeah, but...it's not like we're that close though...or at least it doesn't feel like it. He still treats me well, but every time I see him it's like I'm meeting a new person."
