I was born a twin; although I graduated an only child. I looked upon the crowd of my fellow class mate’s families hoping to see a familiar, only to be disappointed in the end. My mother always told me the smallest of coffins were the heaviest; I didn’t know what she meant at the time. The only thing I really cared about was my brother coming back from his friend’s slumber party. Now today, the day of my graduation from one of the best police academies in the US is the day I realized he is never coming back.

“Noah Hill” I snapped out of thoughts as I silently walked up to my Sergeant shaking his hand and accepting my Diploma. “Thank you for attending Huntsville Police Academy” I nodded with a smile walking off of the stage.

I had been answering calls for the past two weeks being offered to join police force as far away as Maine all the way to California.

I politely denied every one of them, until on the day of May 17 I received a call from a small police department located in London, Kentucky. This was what I had been waiting for, although most of the state had been stricken with poverty and the police departments were falling apart along with most of the families it was my home. The state I grew up in until my brother went missing, that was when we moved to Huntsville. Now I was finally going home and going to find out what happened to my brother Nicholas Jonah Hill.
