Chapter 1

Jessica's POV

It's 2am in the morning and I just can't get to sleep all I can think about is Sam. I surely shouldn't be thinking of him because he's my brother Joshes best friend. I've known Sam for about 6 years now and I knew I would have a thing for him but I didn't think it would get so strong I couldn't sleep.

When I finally got to sleep I woke up all of a sudden to my alarm going off. I completely forgot it was Monday and I have school, I hurry up and get dressed, do my hair and makeup and then finally started to go to school.

When I got to school I sore my brother and Sam just stood there with there mates. Sam looked so cute, he was wearing light blue skinny jeans with a polo shirt and vans, his hair pushed back ever so slightly by a bandana.

As I got in the building Sam stopped me and spoke to me.

"Do I look alright?" he asked me.
"Yeah why you asking me?"
"Because you're a girl" he chuckled at me "I'm trying to impress someone"

Great I thought to myself I have no chance now if he likes someone. I walked away when suddenly someone grabs my arm, I turned around and it was my best friend Megan.

"What's wrong?" she asked me.
"You know the person I like?" I whispered
"Yeah, what about him?"
"Well he just told me he's trying to impress someone" as I said that a tear started rolling down my face.

I got through the school day, still thinking of Sam of course and started walking home. As I was walking I heard someone shout "JESS!" I turned round and there was Sam running to catch up with me, why isn't Josh with him I wondered.

When Sam caught up he was out of breath.
"Where's Josh?" I asked him in a confusing tone.
"I couldn't do this if he was here" then suddenly I had Sam's soft lips on mine. I have never been so happy in my entire life.

"What was that for?"
"Well you see Jess, I've liked you for quite awhile but never had the courage until now to actually do anything about it, I sore you walking home alone and thought this is my chance to do it."
I was speechless is this actually happening to me, is the person I've liked for so long actually saying he likes me back, what should I say I was thinking to myself.
"I don't know what to say Sam, I- I have l - liked you for ages!" I quickly said.
"Well that's good then because Jess I'd really like you to be my girlfriend"
