John: Run! Run, or we're dead!
Manaí: No, I'll be dead. You can still get out of here.
John looked at her like she was crazy.
John: You're out of your mind! I'm not leaving you!
Without waiting for a response, John swooped her up bridal style and started running. He didn't care that she was punching his chest. She eventually wore herself out and burst into tears. John hugged her closer to his bare chest, feeling hot tears trickle down his stomach. She put her hand on his chest, her soft skin making his heart flutter. Finally, he found what he was looking for and went towards it. As soon as he got within a certain distance, the air shimmered, and a house appeared. He went in, kissed Manaí, and set her down on the sofa. She suddenly grabbed John with an iron grip.
Manaí: They've come! We can't fight them! Go! Save yourself!
John burst into tears but didn't move.
WAKE UP!!!!!!!
John jumped awake, even leaping out of bed in shock. He jerked his head this way and that, his eyes landing on another person in the room.
John: Manaí. What are you doing here?
Manaí: I'm the doctor, remember? You are still my patient, and now you're also my pupil. I just have a few questions for you first.
John: Okaaayyy...?
Manaí: First question. What was the dream about?
John: What dream?
Manaí: John, don't play stupid with me.
John: What are you talking about?
Manaí: The dream you just jumped awake as a result of. What was it about?
John: I don't remember.Manaí: Stop lying.
John: I don't what it was about.Manaí stood up and towered over John.
Manaí: John, if you wanna understand what is going on with you and live through the next year, you need to stop lying to me.
John got up.
John: Is that a threat?
Manaí: No, it's a promise.
John: Take me back to my college.
Manaí: Not an option.John drew himself up even more and grasped Manaí's arm tightly. She tried to get away, but he yanked her into his bear hug. He growled in her ear.
John: Get. Me. Back. To. My. College. Now!
He released her, and she stumbled back with fear in her eyes.
Manaí: O-okay.
She snapped her fingers, and he was suddenly in his dorm room. He looked around. His bed had green sheets, and next to his bed was a desk where he could work on homework and different personal project. And best of all, he had no roommate. He went commando and jumped on the bed, sighing heavily in relief as he closed his eyes to sleep.
