Paul helped Chris bring the deer to the camp, a woman with silvery hair running up to them as soon as they stepped foot into the campgrounds,
"Chris? Ricky found a girl, she's in bits" The woman said and looked so honestly upset that Paul was emotional just considering what may have happened to the girl.
Chris nodded, "Alright, I'll be there...just let me drop off the deer, Paul, follow Ryan-Ashley"
"Who-" Paul began to ask but before he could get it out, Chris had walked away. The silvery haired woman gestured and ran off, Paul shrugged and ran after her, assuming she was Ryan-Ashley.
When Paul arrived to where the girl was, he stopped. She looked vaguely familiar with her damp pinkish white hair that only reached her shoulders and her slightly masculine looking face. She looked soaked, what looked like a bear skin draped over her shoulders and Vinny was trying to soothe the girl. Before Paul could have thought he blurted out,
"Pablo!?"
The girl looked up, upon seeing Paul she burst into tears again and Ryan-Ashley stepped forwards, taking the girl into her arms and rubbing her back gently. The girl continued sobbing and Paul bit his lip,
"Uhh...not Pablo I'm guessing"
The girl sniffled and looked up at Paul with red and watery eyes, "I go by Phoebe now...Hi Paul".
Paul blinked stupidly, Vinny rolled his eyes, "Your brother is now your sister"
"Well...yea I guessed but Pab-Phoebe why're you here?"
Phoebe sniffed and curled into Ryan-Ashley, "Dad kicked me out...he walked in on me wearing a dress"
Paul winced then looked at Phoebe's soaked and torn dress, "What happened?"
"Well...I'd heard of places that take in outcasts and so I tried...I fell in a few rivers on my way here" She mumbled and Paul winced again, Ryan-Ashley gently taking Phoebe's hands and standing the girl up,
"Let's go get you some dry clothes and a warm drink okay sweetheart?" She said softly and Phoebe nodded, the two women walking off and Paul looked at Vinny who shrugged,
"I'll go tell Chris that Phoebe will most likely be in the mess hall" He said before walking off and Paul followed after quickly. The two men not speaking until Paul asked quietly,
"I never asked why you were banished" He said and Vinny looked at him,
"Let's just say I was in a similar position as your sister" He said and Paul nodded then fell quiet.
He was just happy Phoebe was safe.
