DeLuca was waiting at the door when Lilian got to the hospital.

"DeLuca, when does Alex want to do this surgery?" She asked.

"In a couple of hours. Both O.R.s are taken right now. Are you drunk?" He suddenly asked her.

"Slightly," she dismissed it. She'd only had a glass and a half, and it would he out of her blood by the time she would be needed. "And he wants to do both surgeries at the same time? What about the girl?"

"Actually, we've only got one liver. Alex will decide which one we'll give it to when he examines the two before the surgery. If he choses the girl, you got the boy all to yourself. If the boy is in a better state, we do then both at the same time," DeLuca explained.

"Okay, can you get me something to eat?" She suddenly asked as he followed her through the hospital. She walked in the attending's room and Andrew halted at the door. "What are you doing?" She asked him.

"I've never been to the attending's room," he told her.

"No, of course not, you're an intern," she told him as if it were obvious. "Now get in or get out, but close the door." Andrew hesitated, but slowly got in and closed the door behind him. Once again, he froze when he noticed Lilian was actually undressing before him.

"What are you doing?" He stuttered.

"Changing," she told him. She noticed how his whole face was red, and his eyes were wide as he stared at her almost naked chest. "Turn your back if it embarrasses you." He swallowed nervously, but didn't turn his back. Lilian couldn't care less. She put on her scrubs on and was quickly ready to leave the room, but Andrew was blocking the door. "Andrew, we've got surgery," she reminded him, attaching her pager to her pants and placing her phone in her pocket.

"Surgery is in a few hours," he said back.

"Yeah, and I gotta eat something before we start," Lilian said, walking past him. Before she could reach the door, DeLuca grabbed her arm and pulled her towards him.

"Why do you keep doing this to me?" He asked her.

"Doing what?" She asked innocently.

"Why do you keep leeding me on if you already told me that this isn't going to work?" He asked, brows furrowed.

"Fist of all, I did not lead you on," she defended, unconsciously leaning closer to his body. "I asked you to get me something to eat, and then I gave you the choice to step out, and then I told you to turn around. You did none if those things," she told him, her voice getting quieter and quieter as he placed his two hands on her arms and she leaned into his touch.

"Second?" He asked, his breath hitching in his throat.

"As much as it can't happen," she said, creeping her hand behind Andrew's neck. She could feel the little hairs of his nape stand up at her touch. "I really fucking wish it could."

DeLuca surprised them both by grabbing her waist and pushing her back against the door. Lily was debating over whether to say something or not. She wanted to stop this, this was completely inappropriate, but at the same time, she didn't. She simply closed her eyes as she could feel DeLuca's hot breath on her neck. She opened them when she felt his lips hover on hers.

And then, obviously, they were interrupted.

Her pager rang 911, and Andrew immediatly backed off of her. She pulled her pager off her pocket, breathing still laboured.

"Damnit," she cursed, seeing it was Alex. She quickly composed herself, taking a deep breath, before running out of the room, DeLuca on her heels.

When they arrived at the O.R., Alex was waiting for her.

"I'm gonna open up both of the babies," he finally let her know. "And I don't need to hear how dangerous it is from you, okay? I don't know what your problem is with newborns, but you've been shaky the whole day while I've been here trying to decide with baby gets to live. I don't wanna hear it," he said, getting in the room to scrub in, slamming the door behind him. Lilian just froze in front of the door.

"Geez," Lily whispered. "The tests were inconclusive?" She turned to ask DeLuca.

"Their stats are the same. Her tumor is way bigger and complicated, but he's got the brain one," Andrew explained. "Are you okay?" He asked.

"Yeah, go ahead, I'm gonna get some water and I'll be right back," she said, and she walked to the bathroom.
