back on the street in the pouring rain, the boy lowered his drenched head and silently shed a tear. one. it rolled down his face and onto the floor, rolling away to join the rest of its liquefied friends. even his tears had friends. could he just be like his tears then? a memory of his mother surfaced, and he simply broke down in the middle of the street. people stared from under the shelter of their umbrellas, but didnt do anything. not like anyone would, anyway. the boy went on his knees and let the tears envelop him slowly, his walled heart crumbling over and over again. "mom, you loved me... why did you leave? look at me now..."
