The Story of Long Ago:
Nestled in the quiet grove of beautiful cherry blossoms was a tiny colony, sitting beside a great field. In this colony of the cherry trees, each tree was honored and praised as a god. A gentle breeze drifted through, rustling the petals of pastel flowers, lifting pink blossoms into the air around humble homes. Cooling water flowed from atop a wall of rock, spilling into a basin on its way out into the large stretch of water, turning a water wheel slick with algae on its way. Numerous birds and animals frolicked in the lush, green grass. A peaceful air surrounded the settlement, as the sun shone brightly upon it. It was as if nothing could ever happen here. But, this is not the case. In fact, it is here that a legendary tale unfolded in the dark past, long, long ago.
A hundred years back, the colony of Kamiki Village, and the lands around it were plagued by an awful eight headed serpent Zoid, that had the body of a mountain and necks the size of piping on the Ultrasaurus. The demon's burning red eyes alone were said to curse. Every year, to satiate the monstrous Zoid's hunger, a sacrifice was offered on the night of the yearly festival. A grim practice, no one dared to disobey the horrific machine. If no sacrifice was offered, it threatened, then tragedy and misery would befall all the land. And so, every year, a maiden clothed in white was brought to the moon cave in Shinshu Field, home of the dreaded Orochi, never to be seen again.
One year, days before the next sacrifice, a white Command Wolf appeared outside the village. With it's armor of pure white, it was dubbed Shiranui. The way it patrolled the village's streets at night, everyone assumed it to be Orochi's familiar. Anyone who left the village was carefully watched by the Command Wolf.
One villager dared to face the fearsome Shiranui, convinced of it's ties to the dreaded Orochi. Nagi, a Zoid Warrior, attempted numerous times to challenge the Command Wolf, with his trusty Sword Wolf, Tsukiyomi. But, Nagi's attempts were continuously thwarted time and time again by the Command Wolf's swift and graceful movements. Shiranui would not accept the challenge to fight.
Time flew by, and before long it was the day everyone dreaded. As the full moon rose high into the night sky, the village became silent. Whistling through the air, an enormous arrow heralded the coming sacrifice. Embedding itself in the ground before the house of Nami, the village's most beautiful maiden, Orochi's sacrifice had been chosen. Hiding a secret love for the young maiden, Nagi was enraged. Swearing by the edge of his Sword Wolf's blade, Nagi was determined to put an end to the demonic Zoid's reign. And so, pilot and Zoid traveled to the Moon Cave in Nami's place.
Approaching with caution, they reached the entrance of the Moon Cave. From out of the shadows, eight thrashing heads with cursing red eyes materialized. With grizzly, jagged teeth bared, Orochi stood tall before the tiny Sword Wolf, eager for another sacrifice. Not thinking for another moment, Nagi cast all fear aside and charged, courageously piloting Tsukiyomi. The Sword Wolf leapt, swinging it's blade valiantly. But it left nary a scratch; Orochi's E-Shield could not be breached. At long last, the Sword Wolf's energy was running on low, and Orochi was undamaged. Nagi and Tsukiyomi knew they were staring destruction in the face, as combat had grown too much for the Pilot and Zoid. One of Orochi's vile heads drew back, preparing to strike.
It was then that the Command Wolf appeared, facing the monstrous machine, protecting Nagi and Tsukiyomi. Armor shining brilliantly in the moonless dark, Shiranui prepared for battle. Claws unsheathed and teeth buzzing with electricity, the Command Wolf launched itself at Orochi. From one of the eight thrashing heads, fire erupted. But Shiranui summoned divine gusts of wind, extinguishing the flames. Another head dived to bite at the Command Wolf, but an enormous tree sprang up from the ground, shielding Shiranui.
On and on into the night the two Zoids battled, Shiranui's armor becoming scratched and dented, no longer withstanding the force or Orochi's assault. And the evil Zoid knew it. Seeing it's chance to strike the final blow, Orochi moved in. But the Shiranui would not give in. With the last of it's energy, the Command Wolf gazed heavenward, and unleashed a powerful howl. Bright light rained down, as the clouds dissipated, revealing the moon. Nagi and Tsukiyomi, who had been cowering in the shadows, now felt courage rushing through them. Glowing with the light of the moon, Tsukiyomi readied it's blade. Sparks flew as each of the heads were severed at the neck. They fell lifelessly to the ground, into a pool of it's own red fluid, ending Orochi's evil hold on the land.
Shiranui however, had collapsed, badly damaged. Hoisted onto Tsukiyomi's back, Shiranui was taken to Kamiki. Once back in the village, everyone crowded around the heroes who had slain Orochi. Shiranui was no longer moving, the light from it's Zoid core slowly fading. And so it was decided, to thank the Zoid who had given its life to save the village and all the lands around it, a Shrine was erected, a statue of the Command Wolf placed within. For generations to come, all would remember the heroic deeds of the great Shiranui. The villagers prayers had been answered, and all looked forward to the peaceful years ahead of them.
Returning to the place of evil, Tsukiyomi was retired, left to forever guard the grounds it's blade pierced. Evil would never again arise from the Moon Cave as long as the blade of the Sword Wolf remained. Though the years passed and Tsukiyomi, the Sword Wolf of Nagi, deteriorated, it's blade stood strong, next to the ruins of the Sword Wolf.
However, this is not quite the end of the tale.

Author's note: So, I randomly got an idea for this, I won't explain how because its sort of complicated, but I felt like I just had to write it. I'm going to use this idea as a way to practice my writing. Hopefully I can get a bit better. The way it works is like those writing excerisizes where they show you a movie clip or picture, and you have to put what you see into words. Well, its the same thing except I am adapting the story to another fandom as well as writing out the scenes in this beautiful video game. The story will be the same as that from the video game [no, not very original, but its almost as if you were to write out your favorite movie in words... except on another planet with giant robotic animals] Its going to be challenging, and yet a lot of fun at the same time!
I'd appreciate it if you could leave some feedback!
