My heart was beating rapidly as the lights went out.
Even though I knew every second of the performance, the nerves were killing me and I was as excited as if it were my first time dancing in front of audince...
The beat has started...
The lights were still out...
BOOM! And the struck of light was on me as was moved by the song.
Hands up, hands down, pirouettes, leaps, running, flying, falling and, in what seemed like seconds, I heard an applause!
I DID IT! I haven't messed up! People were satisfied! Happiness was shining through me and I bowed and walked off the stage..

My dance-crew cheered, but there was one person missing...
-MOM! DID YOU WATCH ME? HOW WAS I? WAS IT GOOD? WHAT- i was interrupted by her arms holding me thight.
-You were brilliant sweetie! I'm so proud of you! -my mum said through tears and whispered in my ear- You know she'd be proud of you, too..
With that said, she let go of me.
-Take a seat and I'll get you your clothes to change for the after party! -I nodded. Her excitement could be felt all over the place.
Yeah, I was delighted too, but I missed Her too much.

As I was changing from my performance costume to my evening dress I promised myself to have fun and meet some other dancers and choreographers. All in all, to act as if She were here, next to me.

-Scarlett, I want you to meet Louis, your new partner.- my trainer Effy has invited me over.
-Hi, I'm Scarlett Holmes. -I said offering my right hand
-Louis Tomlinson, nice to meet you! -he smiled politely shaking our hands
Now, Louis had the most beautiful blue eyes I had ever seen, and when he smiled I swear I could see the stars. But something about him felt so odd.
-*cough* Right... I'm gonna leave you two here.. uhmm.. I'll see you later. Have fun! - Effy said

-I watched your performance, you're an incredible dancer! - Louis said
-Thank you! I have heard of you somewhere and I was stunned by your moves too, I never thought I'd actually meet a dancer like you in real life..

There was an awkward silence after that that I decided to break by asking a rather risky question.
-Did you know we'd be partners before today, or it just... happened?
-I hadn't known anything 'till few minutes ago, but apparently Elizabeth has been paying more attention to other dancers to pair you with. (...) Do you mind me asking if something has happened?
I lowered my gaze on my hands debating if I should come up with something or tell the truth to a complete stranger.
-Something has happened, but I wouldn't like to talk about that right now.. - well he was my new partner, wasn't he? He desrves to know.
-Sure! Let's have fun! -Louis suggested and I couldn't say no...
