My arms shivered in my navy fur coat and my legs began to stiffen as I walked. The previous day we had received over 5 inches of snowfall which had caused the sidewalks, driveways, yards, and so on to be caked in a thick layer of bright white snow. "Are we almost there?" I asked, my toes wiggling around in my boots. "Almost. The place is only about a minute away now." With every step there was a loud crunching noise which had become quite annoying, along with my boot getting stuck whenever I would take a step too deep, then I would struggle to get it out when it did. "We should be getting close." I heard him say. He sped up a bit but not too much that I couldn't catch up. It was clear to see that he was just as much worn out as I was, since we'd both known and experienced the pain of walking in 15 degree weather for 30 minutes. Once again my arms shivered, this time my stomach too. I wondered if I was getting frostbite yet.
