It was the day of finals and I was excited.
All day I was practicing while cleaning up the house. After doing my chores I went to my dad's house and we started to get ready for the show. Dad dropped me and my little sister off at out mom's to finish getting ready. I showerd then did my makeup and put on my dress. We were all done getting ready and so our dad came over so we could take one car. Then we left for the talent show.

We finally arrived and the place was filled way more then when I sang the first night. We went over to sit down and waited for the show to start. The lights dimmed and the first act was on. After watching everyone sing it was my turn. I looked over to my mom and dad before getting in the stage. I walked up to the stairs and crept up to the microphone. Then the music started.

I sang as loud as I could and tryed to hit every note. I hit most of them and I nailed the highest note at the end of it. It was finally time for the judges to announce the winners and give out the prizes. I looked to the stage and it was time for my category. "In third place we have... amilliea! And in second is... ella! And last but not least is..." since I hadn't been named yet my dad with full certainty said "here it comes em." I was hoping that they would name my name because there were onky four people in my category but then i thought i wasn't as good as the othe girls. "First place is... stella!."

My dad was shocked that I didn't win, or at least get 3rd. He and everyone there thought I'd at least get 3rd. But they were wrong. It wasn't a big deal I thought. I just wanted to go home and sleep in my own bed. So that's what I did.
