Joan Watson walked away from the brownstone slightly disturbed. Kitty had sounded like she didn't mean what Joan had meant when she said she was going towards something. It had sounded a lot more sinister. She knew that Sherlock wouldn't believe her if she told him so she didn't try. She would have to go to some unconventional sources for advice. She called her contact in the FBI.

"Joan Watson," he said, "how can I help you?"

"I need to speak with Jamie Moriarty," she replied.

"You know she's not reliable right?" he warned her.

"In this instance I believe she will give me the advice I need, but yes, I will take everything she says with a grain of salt," Joan said.

"Okay, give me a moment and I'll put her on the line with you," he said.

"Thanks," she replied.

"Joan?" Jamie's voice said on the other end.

"Jamie, I need some advice about Sherlock," Joan said.

"You're asking me for advice?" Jamie said shocked.

"I know, but it's not the sort of thing I could talk to anyone else about," Joan said.

"Go ahead," Jamie said.

"Sherlock has a new protege and I think she's playing him," Joan said.

"What evidence do you have?" Jamie asked.

"Not much, just that we had a conversation in which I said that what had made me become Sherlock's partner was that I never felt that I was leaving something behind it was always that I was moving towards something and when I asked her the same question she said she was moving towards something as well but it didn't sound like she meant it the way did," Joan said.

"What's her name, and where is she from," Jamie said sounding somewhat alarmed.

"Her name is Kitty, well actually it's Catherine, but she has Sherlock calling her Kitty, and she has a British accent," Joan replied.

"Send her picture to my P.O. box with instructions to find out what there is to know about her and check back there in a week, that should provide you with either a starting point or a little piece of mind. Oh, and no mater what the result be sure to call me and tell me about it," Jamie said.

"Thank you," Joan said, "You can see now why I couldn't talk to anyone else about it."

"Yes I can. Well, good bye Joan, I shall await your call next week," Jamie said.

"Good bye," Joan said and hung up the phone. She immediately followed Jamie's instructions then went to bed.
