Road to...Love

We remain friends..

"What do you think it was?" snapped back Ginny.

"Stop being a git Ginny" growled back Ron.

"I am being a git? Do you even feel what I am going through? He left me when I needed him the most...." Ginny's eyes is threatening to  spill tears, "....when we searched for him, he kept running away. Do I look like an idiot. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, I WON'T BEAR ANYMORE!!! Ginny shouted at the top of her voice, contrasting her streamy eyes.

Ron then took a step towards her. "Ginny...." he said rather calmly. Ginny immediately jerked out herself.

As she removed Ron's hands from her shoulder, Ron pulled her into a hug, "Calm down little sis" he said patting the back of her head.

Tightening her arms around him, Ginny broke into silent sobs.
Ron kept on patting her head and allowed her to be stable.

He then made her sit on the chair and handed her a glass of water, "Litsen Ginny...Calm down...." says Ron kneeling down in front of her "You know what Harry went through all these years...He just needed some tim-". Ginny cutting him off says "I have given him time Ron. Didn't I?....".

"Just give him another chance. He really loves you...I can see it in his eyes" Ron said wiping her cheeks.

Ginny looks at him for a moment and then said quickly "Fine I'll give him another chance".
"Great Ginny. You are the best sister." Says Ron smiling ear to ear.

Meanwhile with Harry and Hermione:-
"Harry..." saying Hermione sits at the corner of the bed.

"Hermione leave" Harry said at once.

"Look Harry, You are exceeding your limits. In fact you both are. Please sort these things out" commanded Hermione.

"Will you stop being Bossy...?" Harry said glaring at her.
"I am being bossy or you?" Hermione  glared back at him.
Harry threw his arms up in frustration and and started to rage out of the room when Hermione grabbed his hand.

Looking at him for a while, Hermione opened her mouth to speak when Ginny interrupted her "I want to talk to you Harry.."

Hermione looked at the pair of them and said "I am going downstairs" and then left.

Harry and Ginny both stared at each other.  They had loads of words to say but didn't know how to start, what to say.

Harry walked up to her, held her hands, looked directly into her eyes and said "I am sorry Ginny. I didn't mean to hurt you. You have no idea what I was feeling at that moment when I saw Fred's body. It was like...." Harry shook his head in stressing.

"...I can't explain you Ginny. This family has supported me all these years and because of me....I...I.. mean because of the war...." Harry spoke instantly seeing Ginny's expression turning into a glare "because of war", Harry repeated the words, "Ginny..." continued Harry taking a step towards Ginny " I love you. I really do" and then kissed the top of her hand.

Ginny hugged him tightly, closing her eyes. "I love you too....." Harry lips formed a smile. He buried his face into her neck; "But I can't be involved with you..." Harry lifted his head in shock.

He was about to get out of the hug when Ginny said "please stay... I love you is a powerful word Harry. It's easy to say, but, difficult to handle.You very well know the pain of loosing Harry, still you left me alone to suffer. I almost lost my Dad in my fourth year, but this time...." Harry could hear Ginny sniff. The shoulder of his shirt getting wet due to her tears "In future, If anything happens, if this wizarding world again needs you, you'll leave me again. Your nobility is taking a toll on me Harry and I hate to love you for that reason. But I do".

"Please don't leave me Ginny" Harry pleaded. Ginny could feel the pain, the sadness  in his voice. Clutching his shirt Ginny pulled him more.

"Then promise me..How difficult circumstances might be..you won't leave me" said Ginny putting her words in a firm tone.

"You saw what happened. The Death Eaters out there took you..to reach me
Ginny please understand." Harry said while rubbing her back. He then put her hand on her head, and patted it softly.

Ginny simply smiled hearing Harry
"That means you don't trust my abilities.  I don't have anything say."
After a short pause Ginny said "We can still remain friends... but in a relationship? No" Ginny said and was about to get out of the hug but Harry wound his arms tightly.

"Ginny no...please" interrupted Harry.
"Please understand Harry. I can't carry on" said Ginny wiping her tears.
"Please Ginny...please..please" Harry continued ranting but Ginny just ignored.

"I am sorry" and without looking at him or waiting for a response, she just left, getting out of the hug.

Harry just stood there looking at the door through which Ginny left.
At the moment, he felt like, his life is shattered. His mind stopped working. He sat on the bed staring at the floor.
He was completely motionless.

On the other hand Ginny felt immensely hurt. He pleaded, but she just ignored. She went into her room, sat on the floor against the foot of the bed. Her mind underwent a rewind mode, thinking of the conversation that took place between the pair of them. Tears rolled down her eyes thus started crying silently.

Meanwhile with Ronald and Hermione....

Hermione:- Merlin  knows how are things going.
Ronald:- We'll get to know. I hope they sort out everything. Harry deserves to be happy now.
Hermione:- Hmm.. Ron?
Ronald:- Yeah....
Hermione:- If something happens someday between us..Will you leave me?
Ronald:- I left you once. I never will. *said Ron looking directly into her eyes*
Hermione smiled lovingly at him. Looking Hermione smile Ron sweared in mind *I promise. I know the pain, I don't want to go through that again*.
Hermione:- It was hard for me Ron. When you left. I don't want to suffer again, feel that again.
Ronald:- I won't put you in that again.

Hermione crashed her lips against his, feeling his fresh peppermint breath. They were kissing each other passionately when they heard footsteps. They broke apart to see Ginny heading towards her room. Her hair was all around her face, so it was difficult for them to understand if she was crying. But they knew, something was wrong.

They both looked at each other, and decided to leave them alone for the moment.
