iii.
"you're a good for nothing boy lee taeyong. remember that. how could you even hope that someone like me, would even like someone like you? let alone love you. you don't deserve anything. you don't deserve love. you don't deserve care. and mostly, you don't deserve happiness. such a pathetic, broken, man like you-"
"goddammit!"
taeyong woke up, sweating. tears were threatening to fall out of his eyes, but he stopped himself.
he still remembers it.
the incident.
the words.
the girl.he looked at the clock. the glowing neon numbers displayed 1:27 a.m.
great. just great. now he can't sleep.
he groaned, finally making up his mind to go outside and take a walk in the chilly weather.
wearing a black hoodie over his white shirt and a black cap, he closed his bedroom door and went into the living room, but the sight before him stopped him.
doyoung.
he was sitting there, with a huge mango icecream bucket opened and a big spoon in his mouth.
that too, asleep.
taeyong mentally facepalmed at his stupid roommate, who was supposed to be sleeping now, considering the fact that it was his first day.
he shook his head and exited the dorm, careful not to wake the younger one up.
he finally reached his place. the place where he can be himself and no one can judge him. the place which transports himself into a whole new world. the place only he knows.
he sat down under the big cherry blossom tree, shielding himself under it from the harsh and cruel world. smiling at the beautiful flowers and the buds it's bearing, he couldn't help but think about how the flowers still shined in the dark world around them, lighting everything up. they radiated something powerful. something soft. something good. the only things that comforted him were music and these cherry blossoms.
as cliche as it sounds, he wanted that something too.
something that can fill the empty void in him.
something that can shine in his dark world.
something that can provide warmth.
