A Month Later

'Ok, first on our list is water. I just heard moving water a couple of minutes ago from the north. Ah, no it was moving from the south. are you stupid? Do you want to run into dracaena again?' Percy thought, having an internal argument with himself.

He's been having arguments like these playing in his head now for days. The isolation from other humans/demigods had driven him insane. He hasn't spoken to anyone but himsel for weeks now. The last time was when he was hiding inside a dumpster behind KFC from some giants from the nearby forest.

A hobo hopped in and they almost had a fist fight over the spot. Not wanting to cause trouble, Percy left. Days of walking and miles and miles of road between him and the city that changed his life, he decided to walk into a very large forest, thinking it was the best idea.

He began to rethink about his life, how horrible and treacherous it was. Deadly thoughts began to brew inside his head. Was it really worth it? All the strugle, endless battles only to be dumped in the trash when your're of mo use to anyone.

Maybe he could end it. The underworld can't be that bad. Since he was of no use anymore he most likely won't make elysium so he would lose his memory right? Existing without memory seemed like a good idea. But he could he do it? Would he have the strength to drive to end it all? Could he leave this world behind? Yes, yes he could, all he needs now is a way out of his endless misery.

He pulls riptide from his pocket and looks closely at it. What he hadn't originally seen was that on the handle written in Latin was the word sorrow. He could understand now why it was there. Yes a fitting way for the fallen demigod to go. Take the cowards way out and condemn himself. He slowly uncapped riptide and gazed a the blade.

Then he carefully ran the blade over his arm. He was fascinated by the thin line of crimson that flowed down his arm and covered the edge of the blade. He looked up at the beautiful night sky and saw the constellation of the huntress. He smiled sadly at Zoe, an old friend.

He then continued his task. Creating long elegant lines up both his arms criss-crossing the crimson lines. He felt oddly at peace. Percy didn't feel any pain just calm. Then he held the sword to the base of his wrist, right above the artery. Knowing that it would end his misery forevermore, the sword fell onto his skin. His miserable existance slowly ended with every cut of a blade, all that was thought in his mind was his happy ending to soon come.

"I can see the stars", he says as the word fades black.
