I look at myself in the mirror. I am wearing a casual spaghetti strap button-down sundress. I was wearing some white sunglasses on my head. I had some dangling bracelets and stud earrings. I was wearing the jean jacket from the other night on top of my outfit.
Maybe he lives around San Jose. He will see I have his jacket and talk to me tonight. I was hoping that would happen. I grabbed my keys and my phone. I walk out of my room and bumped into Christopher."Hey, Elianna. Where are you going? Take me I'm dying of boredom please" He looked at me with sad eyes.
This past month I have grown close to Christopher. He likes the little brother I never had. I wished my parents had more kids. Though I understand why they didn't. Being an only child was kinda lonely, no one to talk to. It was fine though I had Christopher now and I love him.
"I can't Christopher, this is not something to bring little kids." As I messed with his hair. He rolled his eyes.
" I'm not a little kid take me, please. You and my brother can go out but not me. No fair."
"Your eleven just wait a little longer it will be worth the wait. What about Sunday we go and get Ice cream?" His eyes brighten up and he hugged my waist.
"Yes," and he ran off to his room.
I walked down the stairs, and I walked out the door. I got into my car and texted Marla that I had work and that I would arrive late tonight. I pressed the button to put down my roof. I instantly raised the music high and drove out the driveaway. I sang to the music, knowing every word of the song. The freshening breeze against my hair and face. It relaxes me, and I need that seen all I have is stress. High school was lonely and upsetting, I just hated being there. I am finally free, but there's an emptiness still there. Like something was missing from my life. I want to find it and never let it go.
I arrived and hear the music blasting from outside. The lights were shiny from the big sign, Lux. I had asked Samuel why they named the place Lux. He told me that it had something to do with the owner of this place. I walk over to Hayden Morrison. His mouth was closed into a thin, straight line. His hair was black and today it was tied up. Usually, he would have it out but it was too hot for that.
He was wearing a black fitted shirt with white shorts, so you could see his muscles. Hayden was no joke about working out. He loved it a lot. It was his passion. I try to work out with him and in the end, I was dying and I couldn't feel my body. I like to work out but his workout is intense. He saw me and his light brown eyes light up. A grin shows up on his face. He picks me up and spins me around. He puts me down and kisses me on my forehead.
" I missed you so much," I said with the biggest smile.
"Me too" as he plays with a strand of my hair.
"Where were you for the last couple of days?"
" Busy, I needed to get some things done" That is when his smile turns into a straight line again. He was quiet and looked serious.
"Is this about..." I said.
"YO, stop holding up the line and move bitch" some guy in mid twenty yelled who was big and muscular.
" Will talk about it later okay," Hayden said and moved aside and let me in.
"But..."
"Just go, before we both get fired tonight," He smiled and turned around.
I walked over to the bar, and I saw Samuel. He looked exhausted like he had been here for a while. I looked around and saw that it was only him working tonight. I knew that once he saw me he was going to be pissed. That was when his eyes reached mine.
