Loneliness

There's an emptiness that consumes me
I know not of where it came from
And I know not of when it will leave
My face whispers contentment
But my heart screams in pain
I used to to try to push it away,
I would fail every time, yet try again
But now I'm too tired to try
So I welcome the empty darkness and let it consume my soul
No longer is joy found within me
I am one with the black hole inside.
