Fooled Around and Fell in Love; Part 1

You were another Terran that had been a part of the Guardians of the Galaxy team for a while now. Well over a year's time, and the connection you had with everyone in the group was great.

You and Peter got along really well, since you were the two most silly of the Guardians. You both had the same sense of humor and liked a lot of the same music and movies from Earth. Being another from the same planet added to your connection because while the rest of the Guardians didn't understand why Footloose was so great or why the Jackson 5 were so iconic, you and Peter did. It just made a lot of things for you two so much better. You both felt so much more understood.

Your bond was a very close older brother and younger sister one, which was more than you could've ever asked for, being an only child. Peter was very protective of you and was always the first one you went to when things went wrong. Being his understanding yet silly self, he always knew how to make you smile. You were both very grateful for the other, and reminded each other on the daily. Everyone on the team knew how close you and Peter had become. They all thought it was adorable to see your happy relationship every day.

Once you learned how to communicate with him, Groot was so sweet and wonderful to talk to. He always had such amazing stories to tell and wonderful perspectives on things that others would most likely never think of. He himself was very different than most creatures, so his ideas and thoughts were too. It was very refreshing to hear such open mindedness from someone, something you didn't hear much of back on Earth and wished you did.

You especially loved hearing the stories about his adventures with Rocket before they joined the Guardians. They were a pretty epic duo, and still were. All the crazy twists and turns, narrow escapes, and brilliant fast thought ideas were things very interesting and thrilling to you. Sometimes Rocket would join into the stories Groot was telling and make them sound even more hardcore, which was so much more awesome to hear.

Drax was also an amazing friend to have. Like Peter, there was always lots of laughter when you were with him. Although he didn't take your sarcasm as funny most of the time, there were still plenty of jokes to go around. The more time he spent around the Guardians, the more he learned about humor and fun times. Not to mention he was quite funny without meaning to be at times too, which made every frown turn upside down in an instant.

Drax was also one of the most lovable people you had ever met. He had lots of love to give and share with everyone he encountered. He looked big and intimidating to anyone who didn't know him, but in all reality, he could be the most caring and understanding person there ever was.

And then Gamora, she had a secret somewhat soft side that she showed very few people, including you. Being the only two women on the team was tough sometimes, but that brought you closer together as friends. She had to be one of your best friends. Like Rocket and Groot, you and Gamora had a very special bond. Though she wasn't one for many words or sweet gestures, you knew that was all true.

But, the one you were closest with was Rocket. You both had so much more in common than first met the eye. At first glance, Rocket was very tough, painfully sarcastic, and closed to the world around him. You were very bubbly, silly, and wore your heart on your sleeve. On the surface, anyone would see you and Peter being the closest of all of the Guardians. Yet, that wasn't the case. Don't be mistaken, your relationship with Peter was after all a very close one, but the one you had with Rocket was...different. Sometimes they say opposites attract and in your case, well, they absolutely did.

You were the best of friends without any of the other team members knowing, except the suspecting Gamora. She and Groot had both silently noticed little things the two of you did. Something as small as nearly always sitting next to each other, getting up and coming back with two sodas instead of one, throwing your legs over the other one's while sitting together. Or even sometimes, a hand touch that was longer than others and almost, they would call, a hold.
