It started out as a simple walk in the woods. Mitch, Jerome, and I needed a break from our duties at the Sky Amry base, so we decided to take a walk. Fresh snow crunches loudly beneath our feet. We are laughing about something when a voice brakes the calm.
"Get away from me you piece of crap squid!" The voice belongs to a teenage girl. My friends and I exchange glances before dashing towards the sound. We reach a clearing and see a squid-human hybrid standing over a girl. To be honest, she is quite pretty. Her hair is budder blonde and goes down to her waist. She is wearing a blue v-neck with a brown vest, jeans and matching lace up boots. She is covered in dirt and blood. In her hand is a budder sword, which she is swinging helplessly in an attempt to defend herself.
The hybrid smiles and pulls out a whip, which is worn from previous use. He raises it, laughing at the girl's fear. I close my eyes, expecting the worst, but instead I hear a quick yelp and then the thud of a body hitting the groud. I open my eyes to see that a diamond axe now rests in the hybrid's head. I smile at Jerome, who high-fives Mitch. The girl limps akwardly toward me, blood dripping off of her.
"Are you okay?" I ask.
She nods and openes her mouth to speak, but before she can say anything she drops to the ground and loses consciousness.
