Two worlds apart

Koge smiles to herself, a diary in hand with a note written on it.

"Here you go koge, you said that you wanted
a diary for your birthday, right? Well I saved
up enough money to buy you one.
-Grandma"

Taking a pen, she writes on the first page:

Owner: koge, Maekawa
Age: 16
Gender: Female

Please return when found

She puts the pen down, covering her mouth, she yawns. Walking to her bed, she plops
her tired body onto it and drifts to sleep....

Hikaru looks around his room for the other pair of his sock, only to find a diary with a note written on it.

"It's not much, but it's the best that
I could buy for you

-Grandma"

He smiles, flipping through the pages, he sees writing on the first page

Age: 16
Gender: Female

Please return when found

Gliding a finger over the text, it smudges across the paper, also leaving some ink on his finger. Examining his finger "How could there be fresh ink in this diary? My grandma gave it to me last year, I don't understand" Taking a pen, he crosses out the name

Gender: F̶e̶m̶a̶l̶e̶ Male

"Maybe, I'm just tired, I should just go to sleep" He turns off the lights and goes to bed.

The bright sun shines onto koge's face, causing her to wake up, she groans and turns to the other side
"Koge! Wake up!" Her mom calls, but koge is too sleepy to get up
Hearing footsteps, getting closer and closer... A bolt of fear rushes through koge's body, knowing that she will be getting in trouble for her actions.
The door bursts open, there stood Ran's mother "koge, did you not hear me?! I said wake up!Aish, I swear that on your wedding you'll wake up late" Mrs. Maekawa scolded the poor girl.
As koge's mother left the room, she rolled her eyes and sighed softly. Briefly looking at the diary on her table, before leaving her room..

Beep...Beep...Beep. A loud beeping sound could be heard. Hikaru violently smashes his fist onto the buttons "Shut up!" He yells angrily, at the innocent alarm clock, sitting on his bedside table.
He rubs his eyes, and lets out a huge sigh "I don't want to go to school today" he argues.
"Hikaru! Where are you?I'm going to be late for my meeting!" His father shouts "I'll just walk to school then!" Hikaru replies "Stupid meetings, you care more about meetings than your own son" he mutters under his breath
"Bye Hikaru, see you later" His father softly said, before going out the door.
