" so who's this Jonah guy you have been talking to?" Addie asks

Before I moved away we used to have sleepovers in each other's rooms all the time and since my old room (which is still decorated the same) Is used more as a guest room, we are staying in there. Also because Addie doesn't want to clean her room. So we are throwing it back to years ago and having a sleepover in my old bed room.

" Jonah, he's just a really good friend of mine." I say smiling
" That's all? "
" Yup." I say looking at the ground
" you want to be more than that don't you." She says
Shes not wrong. Actually shes very right. But Jo is my best friend and catching feelings is the last thing I need.
" Weeelll..." I respond smiling
" Hayden! You like jonah?" She says a little to loudly
" Is that true Nugget?" I hear from behind me.
Please don't be Jonah, say this is all my imagination. I turn around to see no other than Jonah Marais standing in my doorway. What is he doing here? He isnt supposed to be in Minnesota until tomorrow night! Oh God Hayden, you've got to be joking
" I'm going to leave you two alone now." Addie says awkwardly leaving
" I thought you went flying in until tomorrow night?" I ask not making eye contact
" I was, but I got on an earlier flight because of the snow warnings." He says " But I think we have something bigger to talk about right now."
" Yeah I um... about that."
" is that how you feel?" Jo asks
I just nod my head yes and look down. I probably just lost my best friend, good going Hayden.
" Good. "
" what? How is that good. I literally just ruined our friendship Jonah!" I kinda yell at him
" Hayden, I feel the same way. I have ever since I met you." He says smiling
" haha very funny." I say
" I'm serious, Hayden will you go on a date with me tonight?" He asks
" Of course!" I scream
On that note I get up and run over and hug him.
" There is no other girl I would want to be standing here with right now." He says
" I know I'm pretty amazing right?" I say making both of us laugh " I'm so glad this didnt end badly.

Jonah went home later on. Once he left I imediantly grabbed addie and drove us both to the store.
" Why are we going shopping so randomly?" She asks confused
" Well I'm going on a date tonight and I have nothing to wear because I honestly was not planning on it." I say in full panicking mode
" Wait? You and Jonah are going on a date tonight and I didnt know!" She screams
" Whoopsie." I say " Anyway I just need something other than sweatpants and a hoodie. He said we aren't going anywhere fancy which is fantabulous."
" Oh okay fantabulous it is."
Once we get to the mall I grab clothes for my date and then of course we end up in stores we dont need to be in before we actually head home and I begin getting ready.
