~ 3rd POV ~
Roman arrived at the park and swiped his hair back and got up onto the podium after walking some metres to it. He took his phone from his pocket, pulled up the camera and placed his hand in the statue's. The second the photo was taken, Roman felt a rush of air and something fall into his arms.
~ Roman's POV ~
I dropped my phone feeling whatever the heck fell into my arms. Was it another fair maiden that had fallen for me? Nay, it was a man, who looked to be my age, wearing dark clothing and dyed purple hair as well as poorly applied black eyeshadow under his eyes, clearly trying to hide his eye bags and dark circles.
"Shit..." He muttered to himself, picking himself up and dusting off his hoodie.
"Well aren't you going to say 'ThAnK yOu FoR cAtChInG mE' ?!" I exclaimed, throwing my arms out. I didn't notice the gasps that came from the passers by
"Nope." The man gave a soft smirk and popped his neck.
"Whatever, you ruined my photo so I'm going to take another. Stay out of my way." I grunted. I reached my hand out behind me and tried to feel around for the statue but my hand just went through thin air. I turned around, my blood boiling and... nothing was there. It was an empty podium.
"The statue has a soulmate." A voice muttered. It was the same dude. "If the statue and soulmate touch hands, the statue will become human. Many people have made an attempt to free the statue of the 'curse' but as records show, it has worked for no one."
"That's stupid. There's no such thing as curses, as much as I would like it to be so." I responded, checking over the photo
"You seem like someone that would believe in that stuff. You're a Disney boy, I can tell."
"What?! Do you stalk me?!" I yelled, looking up from my phone. The thought of how one minute, I was alone with the statue behind me and the next this random guy was in my arms and the statue had disappeared hadn't occurred to me. It was strange. "Wait a minute.... where'd the statue go...?" I asked myself looking from the photo, to the now empty podium, back to the photo and so on.
"It's him! He's that statue's soulmate!" A voice exclaimed. I twisted my head and found myself staring upon (another) man, holding some dude's hand. The first one, that had called out, was wearing thick, round glasses, a blue polo shirt, khaki pants, black shoes and a grey cardigan round his neck while the other simply wore blue jeans, black shoes and shirt, a blue-ish tie and thinner, more rectangular glasses.
"Patton, don't be absurd. The writing on the plaque is just a myth." The tie dude spoke with little emotion.
Who I assumed was Patton, spoke again. "But Logie... did you not see it?! One second that guy was alone alone and then boom whee whazoom! The statue was gone and that other guy was in his arms! He broke the curse!"
"Yes, I did see it but there is no logical explanation for that. I think I should take you home. You clearly need more rest." The one with the tie began to drag cardigan dude out of the park
~ Patton's POV ~
I huffed as Logan began to pull me back to the house. Was he being serious?! That guy broke the curse on the statue and Logan knows it but he doesn't want to admit that I'm right and he isn't! He can be so unfair sometimes...
"Now." Logan huffed, unlocking the door. "I will go upstairs to get in the shower and then I will start to make lunch. You may watch TV or do whatever you find pleasing while you wait."
I nodded, groaned and immediately walked up to my room. I just wanna go back to the park....
