"Days.

Days of endless darkness.

Am I in a coma? Is this limbo?

My stomach... I can feel it grumbling.

This is an old sensation that I had forgotten long ago... Why is it back?

I don't... Remember...

No, wait. I do remember.

They had fed me.

It had only been a little, but I had decided not to kill them afterwards...

But where was I now?

Why is it so dark?

I know I'm not unconscious... I can feel everything around me.

I suddenly lurch forward, pushed up by whatever I was lying on.

I hear a voice.

I can no longer understand words, but I can hear the emotion.

Tired.

Grumbling.

I've heard this voice before.

It's the tall one.

I can make out her form moving in the darkness, stretching.

She looks at me, blinking a few times before offering a small wave.

I returned the gesture.

Not sure why.

What had happened over the past few days? She didn't seem afraid of me...

And why can't I remember!?

She opened the entrance to the shabby tent, the dim light burning my eyes.

She smiled as I covered my face. Smiled?

Why is she smiling...?

How could anyone be smiling?!

She laughs at my confusion, which causes me to fall back on my butt in surprise.

Her mouth moves, and I just stare at her.

Her smile...

It's so...

...
