I feel exhausted after a long day of hunting, and not the animal kind. I am a hunter of the supernatural. My dad taught me how to. It's the family business, I like to think. I had read some reports in the paper and heard on the news about bodies being found with their eyes burned out, so my partner and I decided to go and investigate. We decided to take a break for the evening and get some rest. Normally, we would stay in the truck bed camper I have; but my truck had some bad damage on it from my last hunt and I was in the process of fixing it. I decided to borrow a car from the bunker until I could get what I needed to fix it.
The door to the motel room I just book creaks as I open it. I lightly kick the door closed and throw my duffle bag on the floor by the bathroom. The tiny one bed room will have to do for the night. Taking my jacket off tossing it over a chair by the table and flop face down on the bed. Hearing the thud of my partner's bag hit the floor the bed dips beside me and there is a hand rested between my shoulder blades. I turn my head looking into his handsome cobalt eyes I smile softly. He returns a slightly sad smile.
"What's wrong Cas?" I ask, worry in my voice.
Cas looks at me and it looks as if he is trying not to cry. Sitting up I manoeuvre to sit beside him on the edge of the bed. I put a hand to his face, and he leans into it, closing his eyes. He places one of his hands over mine and lightly rubs his thumb over my knuckles.
"I just," he opens his eyes looking into mine. "Never mind."
"Cas, honey, just tell me," I cooed, giving him a reassuring smile.
He clears his throat and begins holding my hand tightly in his lap, "I feel as if is completely my fault all the angels fell and that I should have been able to see through Metatron's plan."
I pull Cas to me in a tight embrace, "It could have happened to anyone Cas. It's not your fault."
Cas lifts his head to look at me with puffy red eyes. I knew he was about to cry, so I kiss his forehead and pull him in tighter, his head resting on my shoulder. He wraps his arms around my torso and I feel my shirt get damp. I stroke his hair as he cries into my shoulder. His entire body trembles as he cries and I can feel his hands grabbing a fistful of my shirt. I move us so that I can lean back on the headboard.
This goes on for a few hours when it feels like he has calmed down. His head now on my lap as I continue to stroke his hair soothingly my other hand in his as he holds it to his chest. Ever since he lost his grace and fell from heaven Cas has become human, and I have taken care of him. Taking him on hunts and teaching him to be a hunter. We tried to live a normal apple pie life, but the hunting life kept coming after us. After Sam and Dean rescued us, mostly Cas from dying, we decided it was time to hunt again.
I lean down and kiss his head thinking he may have fallen asleep and adjust myself slightly, so I can get some rest as well.
"Thank you, Alexious," I hear Cas mumble through a cracking voice. "Thank you for helping me through this and being here for me and taking care of me."
His head turns to look up at me. His red, puffy eyes looking into mine. I have been the only one to see him like this, broken and lost.
"I would go the hell and back for you Castiel," I smile at him caressing his cheek. "That is what you do for someone you love."
A smile appears on his face, and he leans up capturing my lips with his, "I love you too, Alexious. Since the first time I laid eyes on you."

Prologue down. I've been wanting to write a Castiel fanfic for a while and I started on my deviantArt account but it needs some TLC and editing so I'm gonna start it on here. I'm just going write it and if people like it they do if not w/e. If you have any ideas for me to add let me know. I'm probably going to do a character chapter explaining who Alexious is and how she knows the boys. Thank you for reading and don't be shy about giving me advice.
