Rumples POV
Last night went extremely well.
Belle looked stunning, the pier was stunning.
Everything went to plan and Belle seemed to love it.
I know I already proposed but the situation wasn't ideal and I'd been wanting to do it more romantically for a while and when I did it - it just wasn't. But the 2nd time round everything was different, except for the one thing that actually mattered. Her answer.
Even though I was 98% sure she would still say yes, all day that 2% had been on my mind.
But no, the wedding is still on and I couldn't be more happier.Belles POV
I can't stop looking out it.
I lean back on my desk chair at the library and raise my hand so the ring is at eye level.
The ring shines in the morning sunlight. It's so beautiful. I've never seen anything like it.
I sigh and think of last night.
It was the most romantic thing someone's ever done for me.
The library door clicked open.
"Sorry we're not open yet," I smile up at the person.
My smile vanished immediately.
It was the man.
The man from the asylum.
I fly up, my chair knocking to the floor.
"Get out!"
"That's a nice way to treat your saviour!" He smiled.
"Leave - now!" I yell.
"Aw Belle you really should be more thankful," he smirked.
"What?" I spat.
"Well, it was my keycard," he smiled.
"Get - out," I grit my teeth.
I'm not scared of him anymore. Just angry.
Rumples POV
The shop has been very quiet today. I might pop over and check how Belles getting on re-vamping the library, see if she needs any help.
I walk to the front and look to the library through the window.
I could see Belle stood up in front of her desk.
Does he look stressed? Scared?
Who is she speaking to?!
I hadn't seen anyone go in?
Slowly, a figure blocked my view of her.
I didn't even bother to lock the shop and ran over.
I burst through the door and the tall figure span around.
Belles eyes were wide with shock.
I ran over to her and put my hands on her arms,
"Belle are you alright?" I ask, rubbing her arm gently, looking over my shoulder to the man.
"Yes I'm fine..." she whispered, edging closer to me.
I put my arm around her and pulled her into my side.
"And who are you?"
I recognise him, but can't quite put my finger on it...
He stared at Belle, longing in his eyes.
"I'm no-one," he sighed.
"Please leave," Belle said, her command aimed toward him, but she didn't make contact and looked toward me into my chest.
"Fine, seeya soon babe," he said, Alison out.
Babe.
The man from the asylum.
"Belle - I didn't realise it was him, I, I would have come earlier if I-"
"Rumple, I'm fine," she sighed, picking up her tumbled over chair.
"Darling, it's okay if you're not," I walk toward her again and put her hair behind her ear.
She smiled and hugged me.
She took a long sigh out. Relief?
She stroked her hand through my hair and didn't seem to be pulling away much.
She won't admit it, but she was scared just then. Yes the man was from the asylum, but I have a terrible feeling that there is something more for her to be scared about...
I watched him from the window enter Granny's Diner.
I might have to make a visit a little later on...
But I have to make sure Belles okay first.
"Okay?" I said, pulling away.
"Yes...i think I'm just going to go home..." she sighed, picking up purse bag.
"Want me to come with you?" I ask as she comes to stand in front of me again.
"No, no you get back to the shop," she smiled, squeezing my shoulder.
"But I could-"
"Rumple, I'm fine," she silenced me.
Fine.
Before I let her lock up, I kiss her and make promises for a home cooked dinner tonight.
In the meantime, I have a bit of business to attend to...
