"On a dark and dreary night..." "no no!" I growled sitting at my desk and attempting to write yet another chapter on Wattpad, a writing app that I've used for nearly 4+ years. Well I've used it since I've known about it. I sigh deeply trying to come up with SOMETHING to write about. Obviously I had the "Letter's to nobody" story that was some what agonizing to write as is.

I sighed, when all of a sudden bing I noticed my phone lit up with his name and a message that said to meet him in thirty for a surprise. What surprise? I thought as I unlocked my phone to read the message and reply. "Tarcus?" I respond only to be hit with "now!" I scrambled to get myself dressed and out the door. Waving goodbye to my dog as I ran out. Beast simply curled up and went back to sleep.

It took me ten minutes to get to where he had asked me to be. When I walked up on him, he was laying in the grass and staring at the night sky. He didn't say a word to me as I sat beside him and realized that he hadn't had a shirt on and holy fork the ground was wet with dew. "So... you okay?" I asked nervous of his response. "I'm waiting for the earth to eat me. I needed a friend to witness my change." I had to suppress the urge to giggle as it was late at night in a rather uppity neighborhood. "Change into what exactly?" He looked at me and sighed. "A tree... I'm going to be a tree." He must've been having a bad night to want to be the way he was acting.

I took a breath in, the air smelled painfully sweet of the impending morning light. "Well, I can plant a tree on your grave when you die of old age, but otherwise I doubt..." "she cheated on me" he cut me off, and it hit me. He was heart broken. "Tarcus, I'm sorry." Id say as tho it was my fault. I had a bad feeling when he told me some things that nobody else would have known. And I kept my mouth shut. Didn't say a word to him about it. I mean he was one of the few people I liked, I wasn't about to ruin his life.

I sat in the wet grass next to him, as he closed his eyes. "I'm so done with it all." I listened to him, unsure of what to really tell him. After all, I'm just a pet. Then it clicked. "Ya know.." "the only person I haven't dated, is you. And I really just don't want to risk losing you." I stared in disbelief, that's why he kept me? I kept silent to let him talk. "It's partly why I keep you as a pet instead of just making you a girlfriend. At least this way I don't lose you." By this time he sat up on his elbows. "It sounds mean doesn't it? Keeping someone you love at arms length just so you don't run the risk of losing them?" He'd say, the word 'love' ringing in my ears and burning into my mind. "What's mean about it, is the fact that you wouldn't lose me." Id mumble as he watched me. "I suppose I wouldn't, you've been through hell and back. You know what it is to be hurt so badly, that all you want is to make someone happy." He'd say as if he observed it over time.

We had been friends for nearly five years at this point, I've watched him go through another girlfriend each summer, and each summer she cheated on him. And each time he'd call me because he needed someone good to feed his ego. It was a never ending cycle. And I knew it was toxic and yet I still enabled his toxic ways.

I took a deep breath and looked at the house, by this hour it was midnight. Yes I know I said there was impending morning light coming. My story, hush and listen.

"Trish?" I'd snap from my thoughts to look at him. "I have something to tell you. Seeing as you're one of the few I trust." He'd say, sounding more ominous than usual. I looked to the sky and observed the full moon above. Shining brightly in the night. When I looked to him, his normal chocolate brown eyes held a golden color to them.

I had often fantasized that he was a wolf, or that he could transform into a wolf. But to see it with my own eyes. Then again, it could be contacts.

I smiled, his golden eyes never leaving my face. "What's so funny?" I shook my head. "It explains so much, Tarcus." I'd say as he tilted his head at me. "Like?" "How come you never talk to me during full moons." He looked up and I could see the gold in his eyes reflect the moon brilliantly.

He took a breath in. "It is quite beautiful tonight." He'd mumble, laying back in the wet grass. I chewed on my bottom lip, watching him lay there. "So..." I start as I take my eyes off him. "Why did you call me anyways?" I'd ask, knowing he could have called any of his friends, or maybe he has a pack. "Why? Because you're the only one I've let see me cry or even laugh. I mean my friend's see it." My hearing burned 'my friends' was I not a friend? "But I trust you more to not run all over town spreading my business. Mainly cause you don't interact with anyone else." I blinked at him, I felt like my body wasn't my own. Did he insult me or compliment me? He was always so confusing.

When he realized I didn't say a word, his eyes fell upon my face. I couldn't react, couldn't move. "Um well, frogs are green and the sky is blue." I blurted out. Causing his face to scrunch very confused. "I mean... um..." I stumbled trying to focus my mind on what he said. "You didn't hear a word I just said did you?" Damn my ADD! "I did, you said you trust me more because I wouldn't run all over town spreading your business." He sat up and looked at me to finish. "Mainly because I don't interact with other humans." I'd finish quickly, feeling his hand touch my face gently.

Leaning my face into his touch I felt the warmth in his touch. I touched the back of his hand, and kissed the palm of his hand gently. "Why do you do this to me?" I ask softly trying to keep any tears inside. "Do what?" He'd ask knowing I could tell him every little detail of how he makes my skin tingle in the most delicious way. I whimper before looking at him. "Tarcus, you know exactly what I mean." I'd say, as I lowered his hand. I traced my fingers in the palm as he watched me. "I'm sure I do know, but I'd rather hear what you mean." I bit my bottom lip, chewing on it slightly. "Tell me, please." He asked as he moved so he was not only between my legs but an inch from my face.

What are you doing moron! He literally is using you as a rebound! Back awaaaaaay!!!!!! I sighed as he stayed just an inch from my lips. The scent of honey suckle filling the air, made my senses lose control. "Tarcus..." I breathed, my breathing labored with lust. Damnit! Stop making a move asshole! I screamed in my head. I felt his lips pull into his devilish grin, that knowing grin.

He pulled away and looked at me. "Tell me, what it is I do to make you so.... squirmy." I looked at him, my face flushed in the moon. "Damnit.." I mumbled, hearing the sound of an engine roaring towards us. He looked up and stood immediately, offering me a hand up.

He pulled me into him and put a finger to my mouth. "Now, beautiful, you'll behave and keep quiet. We will finish this later." He mumbled in a sultry voice. Husky and deep... velvet undertones.

"Hey dude!" I recognized the voice immediately as Matthew patowski. And the only reason I knew of him was because of a different friend. I hadn't realized he knew Tarcus tho. "Hey."  "Is the meeting still on for tomorrow?" He'd ask, and I looked confused. "As far as I'm aware, the pack is still meeting up." Matthew looked at me and grinned. "Perhaps you should take care of that, any wolf within a mile could smell that." He'd say scrunching his nose up. Tarcus snarled. "We would have, except we got interrupted." Matthew half nodded. "Wish I could get my girl that hot." Tarcus rolled his eyes.

It took me a minute to realize what they were referring to. I let out a gasp, and looked to him. "You mean you can smell arousal?!" I blushed red as he hugged me close to him. I hid my face within his chest. It did explain a lot, especially why he enjoyed torturing me. I muffled something said as I felt his fingers tangle into my hair and pull my head back. "What was that?" He'd ask in a dominant way, as I gasped at the suddenness of having my head pulled back. "Oh god..." I moaned he knew just the right amount to get me to groan in pleasure.

He raised an eyebrow and pressed his lips to mine. It felt like the world stopped spinning entirely tasting his lips. His grip on my hair released as I hear a soft growl escape his lips as he pulled back away from me. "I don't like punishing you, but I will if I have to." He growled into my ear.

I felt the tingling crawl over me, as he pulled back hearing another vehicle approaching.
