"Why?"
Lucy didn't know what to say. Actually, she knew exactly what she wanted to, but was denying in to herself and refused to say it out loud. "I . . . um . . . I guess . . . hmm . . ." she was trying to figure out the words to say.
After Lucy stumbled through her words a little more, Bakugo turned his head away from her again. He sighed softly. He knew that Lucy would never reciprocate the feeling he had for her.
Lucy then sighed. "Maybe . . . I don't know . . . maybe . . . it's because . . . I . . . l— lo . . . y — you." She said so quietly that Bakugo — even though he was beside her — could only hear some parts. "Hmm?" He questioned, turning his head to face her again.
She blushed ferociously when their eyes met, glad that it was dark out and the only light was emitting from the moon or the few lampposts making it so you could barley see anything. Bakugo stared at her intently, waiting for her response. She sighed and controlled her blush a little. "Maybe because . . . I don't know?" She questioned while saying. This time the ash-blond male sighed.
He stood up and brushed some dust off of him and started walking in the other direction. Lucy immediately stood up extremely fast after him getting a little head rush. She started following him, then after him going up against another tree he stopped. He crossed his feet, put his hands in his pockets and looks at the full moon.
"This is where we first met, isn't it?" He didn't move while saying that. Lucy didn't even notice. She just got her memories back from her time with him and realized that all this time, without even knowing it, she fell in love. It was different from when she was with natsu, she thought that she loved him, but she thought of him as more of a friend even if they were dating for a while. Compared to how she feels now, that was nothing. She unconsciously fell in love with him — when they were children and now.
But, without her knowing, Bakugo also fell in love with her. He didn't know when it started, although it probably was when they first met. He saw her, weak and defenceless, protecting a kid from being bullied with a stern and determined look. He was somehow . . . drawn, to her. He decided to help by setting off some explosives, and everyday for almost a year they would spend every day in that same park.
Lucy loved Bakugo and Bakugo loved Lucy, and the two of them didn't even know it about each other.
Lucy stared at Bakugou's eyes, with his far off look. He was thinking about their first encounter and she was mesmerized by his eyes. Without even thing words spilled out of Lucy's mouth.
"I . . . I love you."

A/N: this story is going to end in a couple chapters and their will not be a sequel. Also, for the sequel of nerds with a secret, I'm not going to update it until this book is done and mages and wizards are about halfway through.
