So I finally wrote about Lusie's time away. It's not much and is as horribly written as my book was but I had fun so I'm not all that upset. I used a lot of scenes from the chapters in which Lusie was gone and expanded things from there, so as you can tell this was me just taking other parts to form into one. Well, sort of I suppose, most of this still switches between different scenes like that, but they're all from Lusie's point of view so they're a bit longer.

Now, this is not a story, and honestly quite boring. I was planning on expanding on this, but I'm honestly just too lazy.

Anyways here is this lame attempt at writing-

"W-where am I? Mom? Dad? Anybody!?"

No answer.

Eyes lifting open, the young hybrid looked around at her surroundings, her eyes wide with fear as she tried to figure out where she was at. Silence filled the area as she closed her golden eyes and tried to recall what had happened, her mind foggy and keeping her memories from the previous night locked away. Then a gentle sound broke through the suffocating tension in the air, the sounds of water slowly slapping against rocks. Eyes lifting open, the young princess found herself staring into a dark crystal pool, but why? What was she doing near- and then it hit her. Digging through her dress pocket, Lusie hoped that nothing that she now remembered from the night before was true, only to find it empty.

The letter...

Rising to her feet, Lusie raised her eyes up at the sky and found herself glancing at wooden boards, everything from the night before coming back to her. So it was true... she was alone. I suppose it had to be done, she told herself, sighing and walking out from under the dock. Besides, if everything she knew was true, then they were all so much better off without her. Dragging her feet across the mud, the princess kept her head low as she walked out into broad daylight, climbing back to the top of the dock and letting her feet guide her while she became lost in thought. Had Aaron turned in the letter for her? A part of her hoped he had not.

The sun was only just beginning to rise above the trees, but for Lusie, it only marked the beginning of a lonely life away from those she loved. Slipping into the shadows, she hoped to stay hidden from the eyes of those around her, although her father would probably spot her anyways. As she began to fumble in her pocket again for some change, a distant sound began somewhere ahead of her in the distance. Raising her head, she realized just how far into the middle of the town she was now, perhaps it was only the chatter of those who had begun to stir and come out around her? But then she heard it again, that familiar voice, not just one but two, two familiar voices calling out her name. No...

Stopping dead in her tracks, the seven-year-old looked around in fear, hoping that she was only just imagining what she heard. However, her eyes landed on the two people that she had left behind, and her breath catching in her chest as her father's gaze began to shift towards her. Immediately, Lusie turned back and fled, skidding to halt as she looked for a nearby place to hide and diving into the nearest ally. She would've liked to have made herself invisible at that time, but the flutter of her dress was just too eyes catching. Just as she slid into a dark crevice, the sound of footsteps began to draw near, two waves of upset and frantic emotions washing over.

"That's odd, I could've sworn I saw her go in here..."

"Oh, my poor girl! You don't really think she would've sheltered in here, do you?"

"No, Susie, I don't. C'mon, let's keep looking.", her father's voice sighed, disappointment laced into it before she heard them retreating and their feelings faded. Peering out from over the edge of her hiding place, Lusie made sure that they weren't returning before rising to her feet and stepping out. Walking out into the sun again, the little girl pulled her hood over her head and sighed. Well, it looks like I'm officially on my own now.
