So as I (Moira) stated in my ask.fm, I will be doing the Dormers for the whole month of November. These Dormers will be centered around Nanowrimo books, and Nanowrimo books only. There will be a new Dormers book every week (sorry, but I have no time to do this daily) so you guys would have more time to send in your nominations. If you're going to be nominating a book please do it through an inbox (either here or my main account), or our message board. Please don't send in nominations here or my ask.fm.
Nanowrimo started yesterday and some authors have already been putting all their effort into their books. I've been reading some books already, but there is one I've been loving with all my heart.
Adira by the beautiful Lindsey or @totalbetty is one of the most enjoyable books I've encountered with by the two years I've been on this website (and believe me when I tell you I've read a lot of books in here). I think both the effort Lindsey has given it, and the absolutely wonderful plot and writing style Lindsey has given it, are what makes it worthy of being the first winner of a Nano Dormer.
Summary:
'IN A WORLD WHERE LOVE DOESN'T EXIST, HOW IS IT THAT I'M FALLING FOR YOU IN A WAY I CAN'T QUITE UNDERSTAND?"
In all of Nazeem’s twenty years of life, he heard never heard of the idea of “Love.” His parents were paired together at twenty five just like everyone else in the world. The only reason they had sex was to create offspring, and their wedding was just going to the government building and signing all the forms. “Love” was not a word in his, or anyone’s, vocabulary. But everything changed when he met the pink haired firecracker named Adira. She had lived in seclusion, being born out of lust after her own parents ran away to elope after knowing that their feelings towards one another were unheard of, and would be frowned upon if others found out. To the whole world, Adira didn’t exist. She wasn’t in the files, didn’t have an ID, and wasn’t even considered an official citizen. But when Adira and Nazeem accidentally meet, all she tries to do is explain to him the concept that she, unlike anyone else, had lived with her whole life. And so Nazeem listened, but throughout it all he had no idea he would actually be the one to fall in love, especially with the one who told him all about it in the first place.
So I'd say that if you're doing Nano you should take the time and interrupt your writing to go and read this story (a story so wonderful would definitely inspire you), and if you're not doing nano and you're looking for a great book to read then you should definitely check Adira out! The link to the story can be found in the external link.
Thank you so much for the support you gave to the previous Dormers. Bri and I couldn't have been more happy. See you all next week!!
