After 2 hours of packing and cleaning the house, Zak and I got back into the car. Zak got onto his phone and nudged me.

"OK so I just sold the house." "How?" I asked, giving him the slight -what the hell did you do?- look. He opened "WhatsSelling?" A house selling app.

I shook my head and we hit the pedal. When we got home, I unpacked and Aaron waddled up to me. "Movie!" I smiled and hugged him. "Tomorrow I'm tired." He gave me puppy eyes and left.

I yawned and curled up for a nap. Zak came in shortly and he layed down next to me. I woke up and looked around. It was 4 and I felt awful. I got up and Zak was just walking up the steps.

He set the plate down on my bed and I took a bite of the sandwich. After a while, Zak and I got engaged in talking about gas and economic issues.

"Wait.... What are those?" He said, pointing to my wrist. "Oh, those are scars." "From what?" I blushed and rocked gently. "I was a cutter."

Zak didn't say a word. He stood up and walked away. I caught him on the stairs. "Zak! Let me explain!" "There's nothing to explain. Goodbye Brandi." He opened the door and slammed it behind him.

I leaned on the wall and sighed. Aaron waddled out and had a sad look on his face. "What's wrong B?" "Nothing!" I said, venom dripping from my voice.

"Its OK Aaron. She just is having a bad day." Nick said. I blinked as the hot tears poured down my cheeks. I slid down the door and grabbed my knees. I looked up and saw my old blade on the dresser.

I picked it up and sat on the floor. "BRANDI!!!" Aaron wailed. Nick came running in. "Oh my god!!! Get the phone." Aaron came back with the phone and he called 9-1-1.

I remember the doctors wheeling me into the ambulance. I saw through blurry vision, Aaron waving softly and Nick looking down at his shoes. Just before they shut the doors, I saw Zak run up and they slammed the doors.

"Now close your eyes, honey, it'll be OK in the morning." The needle went into my arm and I felt nothing but the heat of blood on my wrists. My eyes crossed and I blacked out.
