I was surprised to find early into the night that I actually enjoyed hanging out with Dylan.

Stephanie had opened my car door with perfectly even eyeliner and the bottle stowed away in her purse. We jammed along to some
music and 20 minutes later we pulled up to the docks. "The docks" were really just a giant lake with one little pier jutting out but it was a secluded place to drink. Both of the boys were already there so we all sat on the dock playing a drinking game.

My tongue got looser when the taste of artificial blue berries and the harsh burn of vodka hit my throat. It turns out we had a lot to talk about and he seemed like a fun person to be around.

"So who did you know from that party we were at yesterday," Dylan asked.

"Her name is Ally, she lives there with her boyfriend and their 2 roommates." I said thinking about Ally.

We had met in high school. She saw me walk to school and started giving me rides once we became friends in our English class. We haven't really stopped hanging out since. We both liked smoking so we started blazing together at lunch. Then we started smoking and hanging out together after school. When we graduated we hung out on the weekends and after work.

"Oh I actually work with Ally's boyfriend Brian," Dylan replied smiling. Ally was dating Brian the whole year and a half I had known her.

"Small world," I smiled taking a swig out of Stephanie's flask. Hector and Stephanie seemed to be getting along happily. Right as I looked over at them he was laughing at something she had said.

Turning back to look at Dylan I saw that he was still staring at me with a goofy smile on his face.

"Is there something on my face?" I asked self consciously. Hoping I hadn't smeared my lipgloss when taking a drink out of the flask.

"No I was just looking at how pretty your eyes are in the sun," he replied finally looking away but still smiling.

Even though the alcohol was already making me feel all warm inside, my cheeks tinged a little more pink after he said that.

"Thank you," I smiled and turned my focus to my friend.

I tapped Stephanie with the tip of my shoe. She turned her attention towards me with a smile on her face, probably from whatever her and Hector were talking about. And partly from the couple of shots I had seen her sip from the flask.

"Do you work tomorrow?" I asked.

"No," she replied.

"Neither do I," I turned my attention to Hector and Dylan. "Do you guys work tomorrow?" The time on my phone screen read 12:32.

"Not until 3," Dylan replied.

Hector looked down at the time. "Shit I've got to go. I've have to be up at 6 for work." He quickly gathered his jacket and keys. "Did you want a ride back home Dylan."

Dylan hesitated a little and glanced over at me.

"Well if you wanted to hang out some more I can take you home?" My offer made him smile, he nodded his head.

Stephanie walked Hector to his car after he said his goodbyes. I noticed she had pulled her phone out and handed it to him to type something into it. Smiling and shaking my head at her antics I turned my attention towards Dylan.

"So what high school did you go to?" I asked. His chocolate brown eyes framed by long lashes turned their attention towards me.

"Well I'm actually currently going to Skyline," he said sheepishly.

"I graduated from there last year, please tell me you're not a sophomore." I laughed lightly.

"No, no, no," he rushed "I'm a senior about to graduate in 2 months. I'll be the only one out of my brother and sister to have graduated." He finished off proudly.

"Thank God I would've felt like a pedophile otherwise."

"What can I say? I've always liked older women," he joked.

Rolling my eyes I punched his shoulder. He grabbed my hand before it could leave his arm and held it in his own warm one.

Stephanie's chunky boots thumped down the dock with her return. She handed me the flask once she sat down next to me and I took a couple gulps. Feeling the liquid burn as it slid down my throat.

"Are you sure that's not water? You didn't even flinch drinking it," Dylan said jokingly.

"It's a talent, take a drink I promise you it's the cheapest vodka the liquor store has to offer." Laughing I handed him the flask.

"So what's the plan for tonight?" Stephanie asked once they both took their turns drinking.

My thoughts were a little fuzzy from the numerous shots I had been taking throughout the night. Wanting to sober up and feeling the familiar itch to do something else I spoke up.

"Hey Dylan, do you think you could hit up that plug of yours. Stephanie and I can pitch for a sack?" He pulled out his phone and made a call.

"He can meet us in 30 at my place?"
