I Love You, Best Friend

Jongdae meets up with Jongin at the open area in the University, and sees him smiling from ear-to-ear.

"Let me guess. You confessed to Kyungsoo, and it went well?" Jongdae raises his eyebrow.

Jongin turns to look at him, and squeals like a little girl. "YES YES HYUNG! OMG he was so cute." He gushes. "When I said the words," I like you" He blushed Hyung! He was so cute! Then, he--"

He cut him off." I'm guessing it went well? "

Jongin smiles at me widely, nodding.

Jongin smiles at everything and everyone around him. Jongdae laughs when Jongin greets a random stranger, who then looks at him strangely.

I guess this is what happens when the one you love loves you back.

Jongdae frowns.

Something that will never happen to me.

--lunchtime--

Jongdae enter the cafeteria, and immediately spots Baekhyun.

He was about to call out to him when he noticed Baekhyun talking, and laughing with a girl.

Pang.

Wow. I didn't think it would hurt this much to see him so close with someone.

Jongdae look away, and spot Jongin with Kyungsoo. He decides to eat with them instead.

"Hey nini." Jongdae turns to Kyungsoo. "I'm guessing you're nini's lovely boyfie, Kyungsoo." Kyungsoo blushes.

"Hyung! Stop teasing him." Jongin whines.

Jongdae giggles. "Sorry he was just so cute that it made me wanna tease him."

"That's true." Jongin agrees.

"I'm not cute." Kyungsoo pouts.

Jongin and Jongdae look at each other, then burst out laughing.

Kyungsoo looks at them weirdly at first, but then ends up joining them laughing (because their laughs are funny).

--at the apartment--

Jongdae gets home late from hanging out with Jongin and Kyungsoo.

He opens the door, and shuts it close quietly.

"Where were you?"

Jongdae jumps at Baekhyun's voice. "Oh! You almost gave me a heart attack." Jongdae takes a deep breath to compose himself. "I was uhh with Jongin and Kyungsoo."

Jongdae looks at the time, and his eyes widen.

23:50

"Oh... Okay" He says weirdly.

Jongdae opens up his phone, and his mouth opens wide from shock.

214 missed calls from Baekhyun.
